This board amazes me

How long can you live on that piece of history?
After a seven year drought, I can live on it for at least one year.

Further, I could live on at least as many years with CPJ with the same record as Gailey if we are also beating UGA. Then...., maybe I will start to get impatient. But I don't think it will come to that.

Asked and answered.

Agreed fully.

This may be the most stupid thing I have ever read.

You haven't read much then. It's not stupid, it's a fact. Losing last night lessens the importance of all remaining games on our schedule, save UGAy.

NEWS FLASH: there is no playoff.

Every game you lose in D1 football makes the remainder of the season more and more worthless. Games are still fun to watch, and winning is still better than losing but as we lose more games we'll have less and less to play for the following week.

One loss for an ACC team = No National Title
2-3 Losses for an ACC team = No ACC Title

One goal however always endures, beat UGAy can happen at 0-11. One might argue that beating UGAy as an 0-11 team might be more gratifying than beating them as a 6-5 team.

We had 5 DBs on the field on nearly every down. Guys were running around WIDE OPEN. This is a scheme issue, chief.

You sound like the guys who would defend Nix/Gailey
Guys also had all night to find an open spot and lose the DBs. We HAVE to get some pressure on somehow or it doesn't matter what the DBs do chief.

Well Chief, you must not understand the defense. Rarely were they WIDE Open in the first 5-6 seconds. They got open later in the play due to the lack of Pass Rush on DL.

You are dead wrong. 100% wrong. The crossing routes were wide open from the time the ball was snapped. Multiple guys were open on every play; most of the time Jacory was having to choose which completey-wide-ass-open receiver to throw to.

I'm not saying we had a pass rush, we obviously didn't, but Wommack's defensive schemes were absolutely getting destroyed.

It's not even worth arguing, it was so obvious.

It's more about college football then about internet tools, or our coach or players. You lose this game therefore you have 0 hope of winning a national title. If the conference winners +2 invites played an 8 team playoff I'd be a bit more excited. Now the only thing left is beating Georgia.

Dude, please pass whatever you smoke

Are you dellusional or just a hopeless optimist

Nat'l Title? Come on, anyone with a true knowledge of College Football as well as Tech Football would know that we were going to be hardpressed to win the coference MUCH LESS a Natl Title

I'm amazed at idiocrisy

Did you watch the same game? We could have had our d-line from last year back and it wouldn't have made a difference in most of Miami's passing plays.

Take a look at Miami's first TD again. It was a quick play-action 5 step drop then throw. It took less than 4 seconds from snap for him to find an open receiver. Uncontested catch between Jerrard and Morgan but they were still at least 4 yards away from him when the catch was made.

Second TD was a PA roll out with a delayed TE pass route. Morgan jumped because of the play action and the TE was wide open. Again, less than 4 seconds for Jacory to pass. Two of our guys were chasing Jacory pretty hard but of course since the TE was wide open, our guy could only get to him as he threw.

No, because beating Georgia is the only thing. Eleven preseason games, one that matters.

If that's NOT sarcasm, then you are the dumbest sob I've ever heard of

Yeah, UGA is a bigdeal and I hate'em but I'm much more interested in a BCS bowl and a Conference Championship than just beating UGAy

Please tell me you were kidding. And everyone is kinding as well!

And if all this happens our reward will be to go play in a BCS bowl game that no one cares about, probably won't sell out, will be against some crappy Big East team, and is going to be expensive as hell to get to and stay(the tickets of course will be cheap.)

Sometimes I really hate the ACC.

EDIT: Not that I am trying to be a downer. Obviously I want to win the ACC. But I really think we get a raw deal with the Orange Bowl. It's insanely far from the Big East, not really within driving distance of any except two schools in the ACC, and there's nothing really unique about it. The Rose Bowl has the history, the Sugar Bowl has New Orleans and the French Quarter, the Fiesta Bowl has....well...okay, the Fiesta Bowl sucks too.

Dude. Go to Hell or become a Dawg fan

That's ridiculous, and the fact you call yourself a fan is even Dumber

Pretty amazing that you don't want to play in the Orange Bowl. You know, BCS, one of the original major bowls. But that's beneath you (or Tech) to play in? Good grief. Get over yourself. It's been over 40 years since we've played in a major bowl and you turn up your nose at the Orange?

Technically 19....I'm counting the Peach since we won the Crystal Football in it

Yeah...my bad...I guess I'm so fired up with all of the negative bs tonight I'm still thinkin' of last yr's bowl debacle

I hear though.
