Personally I don't think what a single player off a team does in his own time reflects on a coaches class. It's how the coach handles the situation that defines that. Now if every player is doing it then maybe they recruit in the wrong places and that's class. But, I don't expect our coach to have to hold hands with these boys all year. If a kid F***s up then I expect a coach to take care of the problem...

You give SA in college the tools they need and the encourgament to build themselves up but then it's up to them.

All one incident - in 6 years. From a guy recruited before Gailey got here. UGAg had off the field incidents involving at least 5 players last year. The only one kicked off the team wasn't going to play anyway.

I thought this was a MESSAGE BOARD. Do you post on the hive too? I didn't say anything mean about anyone on here. I was stating FACTS about Gailey that IMHO was funny. Not your humor then go to the next post. Heavens forbid I make a JOKE about the GUY WE JUST FIRED! :laugher: Gollee I'll try to be more in tune with people's feeling before I joke next time.

Fine. I can recognize humor with the best of them.Your post says more about you than it does about the "hypersensitive" folks that have called you out for stepping (rather, jumping with both feet) over the line.
 
I bet if you were at Lunch Bunch you wouldn't have been throwing around your "jokes." You would have given ol' Chan a standing O with all the rest of 'em.

No, you're right I wouldn't make a joke about him there. If you are republican would you make a joke about clinton to his face if you had the chance to go to the WH when he was president or would you shake his hand? Vice versa with democrats and Bush.

He did the best he could and he's gone. I appreciate his effort and maintaining the GT image. But, d*mn if I won't make a joke about it. If nothing else than for a smile since Ugay unless y'all forgot we lost. AGAIN

where has all the GT class gone? This thread is pitiful... regardless of it all, Gailey put all he had on the line for GT and provided us with some great memories. Serves no point to bash the guy now...

This is just another classless thread much like the one where JOJATEK#1 degrades Richt's wife to make himself feel better in a loss. Hey, JOJA, I had read she was a cancer survivor and found this video of her. You may find of interest... also found out their youngest daughter was adopted from an orphanage in Russia with severe facial abnormalties (that has required several surgeries since) ... pretty darn admirable regardless of the rival.

GT people should be better than this. We have an opportunity to unite as one .. let's not show publically how some really are...even on an anonymous message board.

Did I call out Gailey's? That my friend is either a lack of knowledge or the so called class you seem to have so much of.

For the record I CALLED OUT Chan Gailey. A public figure. Not a public figure's spouse or children. I called him out using only true facts. I called him out the day that THE AD called him out for all to see! Nothing distasteful just a look at his record. and the things that have happened since he's be here. It was a joke on a message board for y'all to attack me because of it shows you obviously can't take a joke. GROW UP and don't insult me or compare me.

OMG you too?!

I entered my profession on class you sob's not salary. I have two college degrees and can make a lot more money in the private sector. I envy his atrocious contract that he was very lucky to receive not his salary.
I'M sick of hearing about his character and class. THE credit goes to the players more than it goes to him! How many of you people have even met him? If so how long did you talk to him to explain for all this knowledge of his character and class.
I'm not saying he doesn't have it. I'm saying how are you so d*mn sure he does?

And, what did he do for the program?? Did we win any Championships? Beat UGA? Finish in the top 25? EVER? No he was just average.

Well, if you knew any better (or took 2 seconds to look it up), his salary is very modest in comparison to the market he's in. You'd be hard pressed to find any coaches with the same years of experience, in a BCS conference, and producing a winning team EVERY year making $1M per.
 
Please remember what CG said when he came. He was here to win ACC championships and beat UGA. He did neither. Some will disagree... I think our schedule just about guarantees 7 wins a year with average coaching and recruiting currently. Take a look and see if you don't disagree. We have proven we can be in the top 25 here and beat UGA. Why would we accept anything different from our coach? I really don't care if our coach is a nice guy... I want to beat UGA regularly.
 
contact when the hell did I say anything about his salary or that it was too much? HIS buyout and BRAINE's contract with him was bs... NOT his salary. I think we should pay more for an even better coach for GT.
 
I am not going to say anything bad about Gailey. The man has just been fired. He didn't drive GT into a ditch, but he didn't deliver us from one either. Gailey represented Tech well. Besides Reuben Houston, there were no off the field scandals. All I can say is good luck to CG in the future. Gailey is a good man and a good football coach; I just don't think he was the right man for Tech.
 
I don't wish ill will torwards gailey either kyle nor did I ask anyone to talk bad of him. It was a joke people. This bud's for the people who have their panties in a wad. You guys need one.
