This can still be the year

don't feel like making a thread about this because it's been discussed ad nauseum since I've been a member here. but are yall cool with cpj until he retires if we get the occassional 10-2+ season with one that looks nc worthy sometimes and .5 winrates against uga, even though we'll have 6-6 or 7-5 seasons too? at this point, being a fan since my brother went to tech, spending five years there myself, i feel like we have a good coach in him that wins games in an cfb environment that is entirely unfriendly to schools like us, especially compared to when yall were youngsters.
I wanna know why you and @ThisIsAtlanta both have Nic Cage avatars...

Yea, this is Miami's year to catch some breaks. We caught a bunch the three years ago.

i wanted to show my appreciation for a great actor. thisisatlanta was inspired and suit.

We should be ööööing 6-0. Two losses are UCF's fault.
Good point. If we were just like 1% more experienced from playing UCF, that would've been enough to win against Miami.

Although we wouldn't have gotten any experience with rain or a wet field against UCF because it had been bright and sunny for a week

Finding a way to win is not the same as luck. They had a 15 play drive for 85 yards (including a 10 yard penalty) 2:30 to win that game when it mattered.

They overcame gift wrapping a TD on a poorly executed onsides kick.

They forced our offense into two (2) 3-and-out's and one (1) first down in 3 fourth quarter drives. Not luck.

Yeah, they caught a tough ball. We had a ball thrown where our guy could catch it - an easier catch, and he dropped it. They closed, we didn't.

There's a half dozen ways we win that game, we didn't do it.

Luck is something losers use so they don't feel bad about other people winning.

Wasn't our first drive a terrible looking three and out? I guess we don't know how to open games either.

And I guess your argument as to why we missed the two point conversion vs Tenn is we didn't know how to close? Never mind the fact that we got the touchdown.

I just think the argument is kind of stupid.

If you think the first drive of the game feels the same as the last drive with the game on the line, then we can stop this conversation here.

I feel confident in saying that we are the best 3-2 team in the country.

The others are UTSA, Ark St., and Ga. St.

Uhh, yeah. .5 vs UGA alone is criteria for a permanent contract.

We need Miami to lose 2 ACC games. Here’s their remaining opponents.

Syracuse
UNC
VT
UVA
Pity

Meanwhile, we can’t lose another ACC game and still have
