Two scoop and scores and two drives stopped dead in tracks because of penalties. One the first scoop and score had the left tackle quit playing with his dick and turned back on the DE, then we take that six off the board. Senseless penalties caused one if not two possible scores. The holding penalty on one of the OL stopped what looked like a,scoring drive..

Just stupid stuff costing us drives and games.

Thing I noticed today is that this offense can and does work when everyone does what they are supposed to do.

Sheesh, maybe we can put it together for next week and get to 4-0
 
Yeah, I'm not giving up. We played the two most talented teams we will face this year back to back. Every game going forward is eminently winnable.

Nasty, I hope you are right! I think we can win out. We just need some good things to,happen for us down the road.
 
We were marching down the field ready to score late in the game and bring it within 7, but CPJ decided to throw the ball on multiple plays instead of sticking to the ground game when it was clearly there, and then we had a turnover on downs.

But no, the only reason we lost is because of the players' mistakes....

I can't say that I disagree with one word!
 
We definitely could have won. However, we didn't. At the end of the day, that's all that matters. Need to right this ship quickly. Anything 7-5 or worse is really just not good enough.

Yea. A lot of playcalls i didn't like today. Ran it well for the most part but kept going to pass, including a 4th and 2 late. Multiple times on the first play of a drive (sack, fumble, etc.). Best offense was on the ground, had the dive working and got to the edge fairly often

I'm looking,for a,way to get to 7 wins. Sad part is, Georgia Southern will match us with athletes. Hell, in all fairness they should have beat us two years ago.

I thought we got good play from b backs today. Best of the year in my opinion.

The gold-colored glasses also say that Clemson and Miami were the two highest ranked teams on our schedule going into today. We'll see what happens.

While i agree the playcalls were mistakes and i would have preferred to see us continue to run, we still had two dropped TDs
 
My God, calling audibles worked for us in the 2nd half. Why can't CPJ allow JT to do that in the 1st?
 
IMO, Johnson's been outsmarting himself a bit this season by relying on the pass too much instead of sticking to the base offense. I kind of get why he's doing it, because early in the season the passing game looked better than the base offense, but Mills left his cleat marks up and down Miami's defenders' chests today and Tech just hasn't stayed committed to feeding the B-back when they really needed to in order to have a chance against Clemson and Miami. 99 yards and 2 TD with a 5.2 yard per carry average against Miami's athletes is beastly for anybody, and especially so for a true freshman. Keep giving him the damned ball.
 
Holding Penalty stopped first drive, Illegal block stopped third drive. Fumble/TD, Fumble/TD

Might add dropped pass later in the game, but the big 4 are the ones that we ööööed the game with.

And, BTW, Reggie Ball >>>> Justin Thomas.
