This has been a disappointing football season

Nevermind... I forgot the cardinal rule of talking to other GT fans... never mess around with an engineer's head.

The only way anyone could be "disappointed" with 7-3 is if they thought we'd be 9-1 at this point.

And anyone who had us at 9-1 with two games left was drinking way more than koolaid. ;)

BOR is just another abrasive poster....except he's usually correct in his analysis.

We have the oppportunity here to have a GREAT first year under Paul Johnson!

When we beat Miami, Georgia, and a decent team in the Peach/Gator.....CPJ will have you fools drooling again!!!!!!

I understand what you're saying --at least I think that I do.

It's disappointing that the opportunity was there to actually win the Coastal, play in the ACCCG and have a chance at a BCS bowl.

GT lost to teams that it was capable of beating --turnovers played a pivotal roll in the VT and UVA losses. I could only listen to the UNC game Saturday and missed the replay this week on CSS. Seemed like we were moving the ball, but imploded in, or near, the red zone.

But think about the weaknesses that have been revealed this season; OL, LB, kicking, depth, fumble issues, this team is really not there yet to be considering missed BCS bowl opportunities --yet you look at the ACC this season and I can see where someone could feel like an opportunity has been wasted.

However, finishing with a minimum of 8 wins in CPJ's inaugural season is a bonus --I had hoped for 7 wins and would be pleased with 8.

This team will be better next season --no doubt in my mind. But then the ACC may be better as well.

We're still legitimately in line for a 10 win season. This would include a 5-3 ACC finish, a HUGE State Championship win, and an appearance in a respectable bowl game. The reason I see this as more than a remote possibility is that PJ believes it is, and the players believe him.

Not to mention this is a major re-building year. Unbelievable we're doing half as well as we are.

Having said that I hope we whoop the Canes and get ready for some DOGGIE STYLE!

yeah, i had a disappointing week in Vegas.
i started with about $450 and was soon down to like $250, but it came back around and i ended up going up $12,000. Man, i should have stopped, but i kept playing and only won $6,000. How utterly disappointed i am!

also, there were these three really hot babes hanging out once i started winning. we all went back to the hospitality suite that they casino provided and all got into the hot tub. after a little while, one of them left, and only two of them stayed. man, was i deeply disappointed that i could have been hanging out with 6 boobs instead of just 4!

all night i kept banging my hand against my head thinking "you're so stupid! you blew it!"

I disagree with you. Even if we were to lose out the rest of the season, I'd still not be down on this year.
Matter of fact, I'm rather encouraged due to the fact that we can see some light at the end of the tunnel.
Perk up old guy, this year isn't so bad at all.

I've been feeling so dejected about football ever since the UNC loss. It feels like we let a golden opportunity to have a special season slip through our fingers. We'll look back on this season and say, you know, we could have done a bit better.

And that's what I love about Paul Johnson. By no reasonable expectation should be have been this good this quickly. He has changed the attitude around this program so quickly that I'm feeling down on our season even though we are going to go to a good bowl without an offensive line or an established quarterback entering the season. I love Paul Johnson. Can't wait to see what we do in Year 2.
