It has come to me reading player quotes, coaches comments, and looking in past history that we were victim to the hang over. Lost to VT in OT which was very, very hard on the team that had yelled 9/3 all summer, then exact revenge on UVA in a big way only to get beat again in OT to Miami who have beaten GT 4 years in a row now.

It's not the first time it's happened in CFB either. See VT and JMU after Boise. Hell see UGA vs. Colorado. Colorado is an awful team that MTSU could destroy.

Yes it's one of the worst losses in GT history, but I offer when has GT had to play 3 divisional teams in 4 weeks right off the bat and lose in OT to two of them? That's probably historical too.

It's not an excuse, but it does shed some light on the situation.

Now comes Clemson. If GT can beat Clemson on Saturday the MTSU loss will be forgotten. When VT went on a tear after losing to JMU it was hardly ever mentioned again by media.

Georgia Tech has to take care of Georgia Tech and get it done.

The team clearly has problems. Average QB, secondary issues, inconsistent blocking. But I think we'll all be surprised what a little ride on the win train will do for them. They need that big win they were so close to getting twice in one month. The collective wind was swiped from their sails, now it's go time.

I am over it and back on board. Let's go beat Clemson! Go Jackets!

Paul Johnson doesn't want to "retard" Vad Lee by starting him. So. We still suck.

^ I don't get not starting Vad Lee. So I guess what CPJ is figuring is that Lee has some more stuff to learn and sink into himself, and if CPJ starts Lee now, that will somehow stunt his development and complete player that CPJ wants him to become ...

And I agree. I do not take back what my thoughts on Tevin are. I stand by those comments.

I am still trying to find hope in a salvable GT football season admist all being lost.

Retooling my expectations are not losing another game besides UGA because I don't think we are winnign that one, getting bowl eligible and WINNING a bow.

The discrepency between Tajh Boyd's athleticism and Tevin's abilities will make all of us want to kill ourselves 2 days from now. Just wait.

If GT can beat Clemson on Saturday the MTSU loss will be forgotten in about 25-100 years, but even still referenced then, with an *

The team clearly has problems. . Starting with the Head Coach.

Let's go beat Clemson! Go Jackets! Best Part of Post.

Yeah, good lord I just want to see a fully athletic QB in this system. Sucks because I think he is on the sideline on the cusp of taking it over but not only because there is a 5th year senior in his way.

Also, see Justin Thomas.

But Tevin is our "unquestioned leader". He did all of the offseason conditioning and QB drills and put in all the hard work.

Question: How much does that ---- matter if you're not any good at football, coach?

I agree. It is laughable that you are the leader because you organized some offseason drills. His leadership still is very questionable.

"Tevin isn't a very vocal leader because he likes to lead by example". I don't buy that because everytime he's had to lead by example he's come up short.

It's a lose/lose situation with this guy. If he's unquestioned then why was Jamea Thomas on the sideline saying "here we go again" in overtime with the offense on the field and Tevin running it?

Well, I tried to get excited...lol...gave it the old college try.

You're doing it wrong. Don't analyze it that doesn't give us anything to be optimistic about.

Instead:

CLEMSON IS A REDNECK SCHOOL! DOO DAH DOO DAH!

Oh get off your high horse and agenda. You don't know how to coach. You just know how to be a jerk. You've always been that way.

If they felt Vad was the best way to win, he'd be starting. They trying to bring him along. He's obviously not ready yet.

I to want Vad to play more, but I don't want him to be pushed into doing what he can't.

Regardless of the outcome against Clempsen, MTSU will not be forgotten.

There are things that can happen this year that can still make this one of the best seasons regardless of that loss. But I agree that it won't be forgotten and it shouldn't.

I'll forget it. You can hold onto it if you want.

You pussies act like this is the worst loss in all CFB history. There have been a lot worse and it's not really as bad a loss considering what the team has been through before ever even getting out of September.

How they respond will define them IMO.

I like your enthusiasm tax but the problem is that even forgetting mtsu the two teams we lost to in OT haven't been doing great either and Clemson is 2-3 grades higher. Now I've seen us beat a much more talented Clemson but I can't count on it like its a sure thing.

OL and Tevin play impeccable, we'll have a shot. We're not gonna stop their offense. We just have to somehow out score them in a shootout as we have done before.

I suppose so. I do think Andre Ellington, Sammy Watkins, and DeAndre Hopkins are going to eat our no tackling defenses lunch. Kinda scary really.

In all honesty I think some of these Clemson players go down easier than MTSU players. It's touching them that will be the issue.
