This is how it ends

We should just start playing uGA games on the jumbotron in our stadium. Rooting against them is more fun than rooting for us these days.

Take away the cupcake games, and it's just as likely that they lose as it is that we win

When you are good, your schedule tends to end up with more cupcakes. Like playing usc, ut, vandy and, sadly, us.

Rather than cheering the game and making noise, everyone around me was doing their best impression of the muppets old guys in the balcony or MST3K. Pretty funny, but not a good football atmosphere.
ha- noticed the exact same thing around me. Also the cup pick-up in 3Q. That's a bad sign.

It's just boring unless we play teams who don't know how to defend us and we can hit big plays. We don't have a BeyBey or Smelter or Waller to make them pay for stacking the box and locking receivers down in 1:1. Duke was able to single cover our guys and put 8-9 (think I saw all 11 in there twice?!) in the box. Our offense folds and looks totally inept.

I knew this was going to be a bad year when they announced the radio show was going to be pre-taped. If you can't attract a live audience for a call in show, game attendance isn't going to be great either.
I wouldn't be surprised if it was because of heckling rather than no one showing up

Or if it had not been homecoming. That was good for a few thousand fans.

Regardless it is bad. People aren’t coming because the team sucks. The people there are disgusted because the team sucks.

The other funny thing is that the pledges are now doing their cup vulture act in the 3rd quarter and asking if you are done with them. Maybe the band should start playing bud at halftime and the horse at the end of the 3rd since everyone is leaving then.

I’m a bad fan. I have season tickets and haven’t been to a game since Alcorn. I’m really not even trying to sell them; I posted my Duke ticks on the List but didn’t really give a crap. I’m going to let my empty seat backs send my message. And I won’t renew next year. I have too many (more important) competing activities for my time on saturdays. Techs got to win Saturday back from me. I haven’t sat down to watch an entire game yet, yesterday included. Took the kids to a fair during the first half. I watched the 3Q while I was on my bike for an hour. Turned the game off when Jerry scores the TD in the 4Q. I genuinely just don’t care. Until we can actually have a chance when down by more than 8 points in the 4Q it’s hard to care. It’s year 11 of the gimmick and he can’t consistently have a QB for his system??? That’s not a lack of recruiting resources, that’s arrogance.
I actually appreciate Tech and the Falcons for giving me fall weekends.
Cry face and down vote time.

There was literally 200% more excitement when they announced the Homecoming winners at halftime than at any point during the game.

It’s not like there is a marker for them right now anyways. Tech tickets are a sunk cost right now.

Well since someone else has brought it up, I may not re-up my season tickets next season. I've gone to at least three games per year since '95, and have had a pair of season tickets for about half of that time.

I no longer enjoy the September noon kickoffs -regardless of the opponent, it's just too damn hot.
I have a friend who is a club level season ticket holder, lives in SC and doesn't make it to all the games, and gives me a pair of club tickets to at least one game per year.
I figure I can just buy tickets to the two to three post September games I want to go to -a pair, four, however many I want.

Of course the negatives to this are that I may not be able to purchase UGA tickets from the GTAA, and Notre Dame come to BDS in 2020 -probably will be a hard ticket as well.

I'd be remiss if I didn't add that I have gone through this same mental scenario over the past three seasons -and for the past three seasons I have kept my season tickets. :dunno:

Hey, buddy. This game was broadcast on CW69. #Antennalife

Thats in the ATL right? Don't think I could have picked that one up. It would have been better to watch their live stream than ESPN+ though. The whole game was constant locking up in buffer mode. I missed half of the plays.

Between my work schedule and having 3 boys playing football and baseball in the fall, it’s next to impossible to get down to the games. When you consider our performance of late, it’s hard to get motivated to rearrange schedules just to go watch a shitty game. I’ve considered not renewing several times before and will think the same thoughts when the time comes for next year. The only thing that keeps me buying tickets is my love for GT (öööö knows why) and knowing that even my pittance of a donation helps somehow. I now see my ticket purchase as a donation. I also have good seats that would be hard for me to get back if I let them go.

As to @DirtyJacket’s comment, it’s hard enough to give the damned tickets away, much less sell them.

Good for you. Spending time with your kids is >>>>>>>>>> important than watching college football. In a few years, they won't want to spend weekends with Dad and college football will still be here to watch.

Add to that just how godawful boring it is to watch our offense - no one can be blamed for doing other outdoor things on a gorgeous fall afternoon.

This is what IIWII football gets you. Apathy.

There's no choice for you except to spend time with your kids. They'll be gone too quickly and college football will still be there.

You're doing the right thing, Pops.
