A game we are going to faintly remember once next season begins. The positive of this game is that we have a bunch of young players getting their asses beat. These guys are going to learn a lot from this experience and it is going to make our team stronger. LSU took advantage of all of our mistakes and they played mistake free football. We played one of our worst games of the season. The result: a blowout.

Buy, once again, I remind you that you will not be talking about the Chick Fil A bowl next season regardless of if we won or lost this game. Next season is what I am thinking about right now. And I am getting really excited about it....

+1 However, I'm worried this game will destroy the positive energy we had going into this offseason. Hopefully, I'm wrong though.

Hopefully it's something the players remember and pisses them off while they are working out in the off season. They'll know they haven't quite arrived yet and need to keep working hard.
 
I'm with you but still there is no excuse for the debacle. From the opening ko that our Mr. Blair kicked out of bounds to everything else.

Piss poor effort. Embarrassment.

Let the excuses and the handwringing begin. I won't be participating. I don't have the stomach.
 
Not sure you can blame the effort. Preparation and execution maybe........

I'm not worried at all about this effecting next year. In fact, CPJ and the boys will not lack any motivation in the offseason.

However, it will prolly cost us about 10 spots in the preseason polls... :mad:
 
Completely disagree... We went from preseason Top Ten to fringe Top 25. And yes, the rankings do matter.

If Nesbitt were an accurate passer we would be moving up and down the field. This is why CPJ wants to have the run and shoot installed - for when teams shut down the run game. And tonight has shown that guys are open if a QB can get the ball to them. If you're looking for a positive, that's it.

Well, it certainly brings about the question of what is the 4th option if the perimeter (sweep-like tosses) is contained and the middle is sealed (i.e. dive play).

LSU has just given the rest of the ACC the blueprint to stop the option. CPJ will have to play more of a chess match to keep teams guessing. Playbook clearly needs to be opened.

Yeah, yeah. And so did UVA. And so did UNC. Blah blah.
 
I don't care what the offense is - you have to execute. We blocked Miami and we blocked UGA. LSU D-line blew up plays pushing our offensive linemen backwards. Nesbitt made poor reads.

The I offense is not why LSU is doing so well - it is that they are running their offense to perfection.

Bobby Ross always talked about focus and execution. CPJ prefers to think it is his system that wins. I like his system, but we win when we stay focused and execute.

The key word here is arrogant. Arrogant assholes end up being hated - they bring out the best in opponents. If you are going to be arrogant, you better be unbeatable. LSU and Les are indeed arrogant faking a punt and throwing long with a 38-3 game in the 4th.

I wonder if the arrogance of our team and fans may have prompted their actions. We have acted like we were the best team in America since we beat UGA by 3 points. That was a great win. But, a little humility and a continuing commitment to hard work might have served us better. After all, we lost to UVA and UNC this year and blocked a FG to beat Gardner-Webb.

There is a lesson here for CPJ, his staff, players, and fans. Georgia Tech is successful through hard work and effort. Stay focused and shelve the arrogant routine. It led to embarassment tonight.
 
i cant stand watching espn any more they are so annoying with the put downs on tech
