This is looking like a very bad

ACC is a big clusterf##k ... 2008 all over again. It just goes to show that there is much parity in the ACC. Bring your "A" game every week or the other once crap team will beat you.

We just need to win out, who gives a damn about the other schools.

We really don't. I understand the argument, and it would apply to a lot of other schools, but GT isn't getting a BCS bid without winning the ACC, and we're not going to national championship game unless we're undefeated.

We can't rely on conference peers to boost our image, it's just not in the cards. We win we get respect, we lose we dont. With GT it's cut and dry. Only media types and SECtards care about conference affiliation, don't fall into the trap.

We're an independent again? I missed the memo. With bowl revenue sharing, every year the ACC gets passed over GT loses. As long as we're an ACC member, the conference's reputation matters to us.

+1

I get that we have bigger fish to fry and should be most concerned with how we do. But the rest of the ACC matters to GT, how many bowls we get, the payout of those bowls, etc.

We aren't just worried about national reputation of a conference for voting reasons. (But that comes into play as well.)

I think Miami will lose one more outside of Oklahoma. They aren't "back" yet and are still a young team, prone to slip up against somebody. I am not sure against whom, but Clemson, UNC, and South Florida have the athletes to win against Miami and 2 of those 3 games will be on the road.

I'm not sure whether or not to go for Miami. I don't want our loss to look bad, so it would be nice if they won. But their BCS ranking will go up, and if there ends up being a tie at the end of the year, we won't be winning our division.

I will pull for the U, because the ACC needs it badly...but I truly couldn't care less if they lost by 50.

The ACC really needs Miami to win or at least not look too bad. Even though in-conference games shouldn't matter, the ACC really needs it after how Clemson and UNC wet their respective beds.
