Get a stopwatch and time the following for Top 25 teams vs us:
1. Average time from snap to the ball leaving the QB's hands on pass plays. Programs like Ohio State are 2-2.75 seconds, we're in the 4+ second range. Hard to pass protect that long.
2. Average time the RB takes to reach the LOS or get outside the tackle box on run plays. Our running game is abnormally slow developing. It's mind blowing how jarring it is to see hard and fast hitting running games.

I think 4 games in, it's safe to say Chip is a downgrade. Today we at least got back to moving the ball between the 20s, but we still can't just go and score even when we've been gashing the defense all drive. Our TEs are horrendous.

How about how long our garbage punter takes to get one away? Don’t even need a second hand on your stopwatch for that.

How many times does a defender reach the qb before he can finish his drop? Granted the qb needs to make faster reads to help the line.

How many times does a defender blow up a mesh?

How many free rushers have the line and te allowed?

Shut the öööö up. The kid didn’t play American football growing up and has never seen a punt block rush. Its a failure on our inept staff not to adjust his technique or teach our punt coverage team to protect him.

I can’t believe you are blaming an Irish kid who has never seen an American football punt block rush. And, FYI, the punt blocks during the Ole Miss game were not punt block rushes. We were just too poorly coached to protect our punter. Go back and watch the Ole Miss post-game presser where Collins “refuses to throw a player under the bus” when everyone knows which player he’s talking about. Roddy Jones busted Collins over exactly this.

So before you trash a player, make sure its actually his fault. And if it is, back off - he’s from Ireland and relied on coaches who turned out to be incompetent.

Blitzing the OLB from the weakside has been money the last two games. We have to have about 10 plays that they could watch in the film room of Sims and/or the RB getting blasted.

00Burdell, thank you for defending our punter! As fans, I don't think we should single out a player with harsh criticism. Especially, when they are being taught by, clearly, the most incompetent football coach I have EVER seen at Tech!

Bad take. Who cares if he grew up watching American football. If I decide I want to play cricket and I go play for a team that competes at a high level, I'm expected to be able to perform, right? We can blame the coaches for putting in someone who isn't able to perform but ultimately the player bears some of the responsibility too.
