Threet transfering to ASU

Personally, I feel bad for the guy. He's wasted most of his college career. At least he has 2 years left after he sits out. Hopefully he won't get screwed over by another system change.

FWIW, he transferred a season before CPJ came to GT.

Wait a minute - I think I see the plan. His entering freshman class will be eligible for the NFL draft next April. He has one year of actual play in an offense ill-suited to his talents, but will have 3 years of practice (one spring at Tech, one year at UM under Carr, and the upcoming season at ASU) in "pro-style" offenses when it comes time to declare for the NFL. Rather than transfering again, watch for Mr. Threet to declare come January 2010.

When he is drafted, how will they introduce him? "With the 215th pick, the Detroit Lions select Steven Threet from...."

Of course, then he could demand to be traded to a team with an offense that meets his skill set and we could start all over again.

Maybe he should start his own college, hire himself as the head coach and appoint himself the starter.

Hardwriting.wall.

There was a bunch of stuff with him. A chick being in there. Getting a Mich ship another. He said at the time he missed Pat Nix. But while he did not know CPJ was coming, he had a good idea that Gailey would not return.

CPJ could and WOULD absolutely use a talented passing QB who was also mobile.

I don't know. Sure, Threet would have done a better job throwing than Nesbitt, but there's only so much practice time and the TO is extremely complicated even with only rudimentary passing sets. If Threet were the starter instead of Nesbitt, I see better passing stats but not numbers like Stafford had at UGA.

Did we establish the fact that Threet was mobile? He looked fairly statuesque to me. Or are we talking mobile in the sense of Steve Bartkowski?
