Thug U v. FAU

Golden's gonna be Kiffined this game. Bus will leave without him.

Horrible decisions too. Long pass on 3rd and 1, and FG on 4th and 1.

Even if they leave him he's probably only like 30 miles away from his house... Didn't Kiffin have to book a flight back?

Wait... They didn't invite Russell to the party?! This s*#% was rigged!

"The school informed Nike about a year ago that it would seek bids from other companies, and Adidas and Under Armour both pursued the Hurricanes."

They are not exclusive enough for Russéll

Miami will be better by the time they play us. Remember us struggling with Tulane and GSU last year during JT's first few games? Miami's got a pretty young team.

Glad to play Miami in November. Could see them not caring much if the coach is a lame duck by then.

@PaulMyerberg
I find this amazing: With a win tonight, Miami will be 2-0 for just the third time in 11 years (2005-15).

@TheRealC_Portis
WE COMPETING W FIU, FAU ,MIAMI DADE, JOHNSON & WELLS, BCC, FAMU, UCF, USF! FSU & UF out our league as this point! Football gods please help

@edsbs
I've been standing in a river getting dragged around by a kite all day long but is FAU within a TD of Al Golden Motors

Someone flew a banner over the stadium calling for Butch Davis to come back as coach for Miami. Al Golden saw it: LINK

Man Miami looks like a dumpster fire. Golden looks like he doesn't care anymore. The fans are fed up. The players play like 11 individuals on the field with their own agenda. The UM admin cant afford to fire him and start over. Yup. Dumpster fire.

So you're.. you're saying what, exactly about the U with regards to their status as a team that either is or is not, at this point in time, back?

I honestly don't know what it's going to take for that program to get its act together. They aren't (or at the very least they should not be) hurting for talent, but they cannot get a staff in place which doesn't result in them playing like AAC rejects. They have their little stretches periodically, but even the credit people gave them for last year (leading up to the FSU game and their subsequent collapse) was far too generous. They had handily beaten six teams which were mediocre at best, downright awful at worst. Breaking up those wins were three losses in which they got their asses kicked by good teams. The close game they gave Florida State was the high point of their season by far.

Golden shouldn't still be employed in Corral Gables, and unless there's an insurmountable buyout issue then he almost certainly won't be in four months.

Anytime they string a few wins together and everybody cries "The U is BACK!!" it helps our conference. It just makes us winning our division that much better in the eyes of delusional college football fans. The name recognition is there and will be for years to come but the staff in place isn't better than 8 wins in a year. If GT keeps winning then we become the program everybody talks about along with FSU, Clemson and VT. Let them stay mediocre, even though the ACC intended that FSU/Miami carry the conference, we don't need them to be great.
