They seem to think he is going to step in and turn their offense around immediately...

- Freshman QB coming off hand injury, CHECK
- Playing in hostile territory against rival, CHECK
- Pressure to score on every drive, CHECK
- Defense that lives off forcing turnovers, CHECK

I think Watson's a great player and will terrorize ACC defenses over the next few years. But this is an awfully tough situation for him to be in and I'm not convinced he is good enough to magically turn the Clemson offense from terrible to awesome.
 
We need Watson to be rusty and make mistakes.

If NOT, then we will need to hold serve on every (or almost every) offensive possession is my prediction.
 
Clemson has a better D than GT. Clemson will score points on GT. If GT's O makes a few mistakes like they did against Duke that's all Clemson will need to win this game.

Depending on what kind of fracture he had, I'd expect it to take more than 4 weeks for his finger to start feeling normal. There is usually some stiffness and soreness, even after the bone has healed. I think we'll see Watson avoid deep throws, and he won't throw as hard, even if he's on target. He'll be an upgrade from Stoudt, but I'll be surprised if his passes look as good as they did before the injury.

Can't agree with this. Tigernet is the most "ignernt" forum on any subject I've seen on these Internets. I thought it was a parody and a pretty good one when I first read it. Like The Onion of college sports forms, except with everything misspelled. The Hive may be an oasis for the snark-impaired, but I haven't seen 93 different variations of Jethro Bodine on it. Tigernet does for the ignernt what the Auburn board does for paranoid schizophrenics.

You're correct sir. Tigernet is full of country bumpkins trying to out bumpkin one another.
 
You can't blame them for being overconfident. They're not used to having a winning streak against anybody good.
 
I'm disappointed that there's no post about them looking at us looking at them.
 
I've never seen Clemson fans this cocky. They win a few in a row for the first time since only God knows when and they genuinely believe this is going to be a total blowout.

Did you know, 9 players from last year's Clemson team are on NFL rosters right now. They are not that öööö good this year. They struggled with Wake FFS. They may win, but the blowout predictions are ignorant as hell.

Edit: Oh and I just remembered their QB is back, but the point about departures still stands. It just makes it more painful for them when they lose.
 
Shawn Green is officially out for Saturday. Our defense is going to have to give their best effort of the season. How many points will it take to win? I'm thinking at least 30, but that's not impossible the way our offense is playing.
