Time for a change

What part(s) of his comments were not accurate?
Well I don't know. It just bothers me that he is lashing out against the fans and the school when he is the one that is failing. I went to all of the Bill Lewis games. And still donated.

There used to be a time when a bowl game was expected. Even Gailey made a bowl game every year. Johnson really pissed me off this week with the comments trashing our school. That is when he lost me.

And these days, you can basically fall asss-backwards into a bowl, given how many bowl spots there are.

Who do you think we can afford? Given the restrictions on recruiting exceptions and the massive debt that our athletic department is shouldering, Who do you honestly think we get that can do better?
BS excuses. Other schools have many of the same issues. We recruit in the middle of the Power 5. That should result in at least a 4-4 conference record and a 7-5 season. We haven't looked like that for a year and a half. The massive debt is self inflicted. How has the spending on the stadium expansion, McCamish, baseball stadium, or the indoor football facility panned out?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't CPJ have unlimited academic exceptions? Something he has worked 5+ years to receive. We get a new coach and that could go out the window...

That would be a dumb reason to keep a coach.

Unlimited? I doubt that.

Well I can tell you that O'Leary had an ability to read exception. If we could get that again, we would be at least 18 in the final poll.

So according to your standard, we met expectations 4 times, exceeded them 3 times, and fell short once, and the coach sucks?

Look at that stubborn bastard blaming his players and not taking responsibility.

I think he realized how dumb his comments last week were. Regardless of whether its true or not, you can not say that shit out loud.

So he's doing his best show this week.

I genuinely believe Paul is coaching for his job next week. Lose to Georgia Southern, and it's over. Nothing short of a get out of jail free card originating from Athens will save him at that point.
If we were to fire CPJ this year, we owe him 4 X $3M = $12M. The way his contract is written, if we were to fire him next year, we owe him .5 X $3M for 2018 and .25 X $3M for 2019 and 2020 = $3M. Given GT's financial problems, which seems most likely.

Yes, it is time for a change. In the Hill's admission requirements. CPJ is just fine.

Much like MLB free agents, he'll buckle down and have a helluva year in 2017. Too much at stake for him.
