Me and I know at least two or three other posters here killed the GTAA and Reck Club for the whiteout leading up to the game. Well, I don't know how it looked on TV, but from my seats in 111 it was absolutely fantastic. Over 95% of Tech fans were in white and the Thursday night game really seemed to stem the tide of Clemson fans.

Not only was the crowd wearing white, but we were INTO IT too. Maybe more than I've ever seen a Tech crowd be into it over the whole game. There was noise on every defensive play and unprompted cheers starting up all game. A great job by all the fans tonight, and by the GTAA and Reck Club for (somehow) pulling this off in style.

The whiteout was amazing, ALL OVER CAMPUS. I don't think I saw a dozen yellow jerseys all night, and I probably saw twice that in Clemson fans wearing white.

I didn't get to make it to the game in person. A buddy of mine who is a CU fan was there with one of our suppliers in a box, and he was VERY impressed with the whiteout and the overall crowd response. I didn't see enough of the crowd on ESPN, but from my vantage it looked good and the live crowd was certainly lively.

Well done for those who could make it to BDS@HGF tonight. I was with you in spirit (and spirits, too).

This game was incredible from this standpoint. Anyone who was at the Miami game last year knows that this game was 10 times better. Not only that the orange wasnt that prevalent either.

My group usually scalps tickets to games and I dont believe we payed anything over $15 for tickets last year, heck even UGA 2 years ago we were able to get $10 tickets. This game was nuts from a ticket buying standpoint, the cheapest we could get was $35 per with a hot chick haggling prices. I was actually excited that we had to pay more and at the crowd tonight. We are well on our way and I hope we keep this up.

On a side note while the rest of my group buys tickets, I have a student ticket, and it was completely horrible tonight, there was still a huge line halfway through the first quarter and it was moving very slowly, my guess is that it was due to the draconian pat downs of every single student that went through the gate. Its ridiculous that students who show up in plenty of time cant get into to the stadium in time to watch the game start because of this ****.

:laugher: They don't check people at any of the other gates and plenty of people bring stuff in, too.

Although, considering the gates open up 1+ hour early, no students should have any problem getting in to watch the start of the game. In my day(last season), we showed up to night games 10 hours early.

Then come earlier?

In my day (not last season), we showed up for Thursday night games on Saturday afternoon and just kept drinking until the next game ended.

GO JACKETS!

I was there at 7 didnt get in till 7:45, in time for the first TD though ;). Still that is ridiculous.

Agreed on the better whiteout. Looked GREAT from 106. My dad and I commented all night about how much better it was then last year!! Good job fans!

The STUDENT SPONSORED white out was a huge success. Congrats to the students. And congrats to our fan base for taking a big step forward.

The trick I think, is to keep the Whiteouts on Thursday nights, because opposition fans don't travel well to BDS for Thursdays.

It looked terrible where I was sitting. Clemp's Son fans EVERYwhere.

You musta been sitting in the nosebleeds then, because at field level (read: where ESPN's cameras are) it was a sea of white with some orange in the extreme corners.

I'm at 21 hours since I woke up to camp out this morning. Too much adrenaline and ringing ears...

Keep it going. Forget classes or work or anything else tomorrow and push yourself through the weekend. You can do it. You are strong enough. Hell, just drive on down to South Florida and get ready for next Thursday.

GO JACKETS!!

Madd propz to about 95% of the Tech fans tonight. The white out was a huge success despite the panic mentality before the game. That was an amped-up of a crowd as I've heard in a while at BDS (probably since Miami in '06).

That's where I was. Even though a friend of my dad gave us field level (6 rows up) seats after we had bought the nosebleeds.
