Time to eat some crow about the whiteout

Jeez, I guess some of you guys didn't expect any Clemson fans to show up. It was a great whiteout and the students were giving away extra Ts to the people in the west stands who didn't have white on. I even got one.

Kudos to the students who organized this. Good job.

The trick I think, is to keep the Whiteouts on Thursday nights, because opposition fans don't travel well to BDS for Thursdays.

Bingo. I won't mind if all our Thursday games are whiteouts from now on. If we just locked that tradition in now, then everyone would know to wear white to our annual Thursday game.

Next time we need to find the students white wigs instead of the yellow ones. The whiteout was better than I expected - and I was optimistic about it.

From 109, the stadium looked absolutely great!

My only complaint was there were no pom-poms handed out to the people in the west stands.

Here's my pics form the Upper North:

The white really shows up well under the night lights. Good showing. I'm sure the north - particularly the lower north was the best of all.

Looked pretty good from my view too.

Had poms poms on my seats in 105 when I got there. But I do have stinger seats.

In normal games, the swarm is in all gold, is always bouncing and cheering, and really sticks out from the rest of the student section.

Last night, the entire lower north endzone looked exactly like the swarm.

That was what I was most impressed with.

/agree. The lower north looked more intimidating than I ever remember seeing it.

It looked terrible where I was sitting. Clemp's Son fans EVERYwhere.

you were high on crack and probably in the orange level of some parking deck somewhere

the stadium was WHITE all around except in the designated Clemson areas.. even though Clem's peeps were scattered through-out, the white overloaded them BY FAR

We may need to call in the pom pom police on this issue.

The white out was a great success though imo.

Much better than last year. The Thursday night nationally televised games early in the season before the weather gets cold (and people start wearing jackets) is the best time to do a whiteout.

:laugher: They don't check people at any of the other gates and plenty of people bring stuff in, too.

qft. My buddy that sits in lower west said that two ladies behind him snuck in a bottle of wine last night.

Yep I was really surprised. I saw a lot of gold, but it blends in well with the white. Overall I was very pleased!

I'm also going to say keep them on warmer weather game days. I think a lot of folks wore white last year, but it got covered up by jackets/coats as the night got colder. The whiteout last night was very impressive.

I was one of the ones bitching about the lack of marketing and potential failure.

Consider the crow eaten...it was great.

The whole stadium looked really cool...the lower north was 100% white - Awesome looking! Haven't seen any good pics of the side of the stadium yet though, anybody got one?

+1 I agree with you and Beej67 on this. We should always do the white out at night because the artificial lighting makes it stand out. Whenever they flashed "Make Noise" (or 'get loud' or whatever) with the bright white background it really made a nice pulse reflecting off the white shirts. We should market this to ESPN and let them know that when/if they come it will be a whiteout night.

White Out was great.

I didn't really notice how big the difference is with the new scoreboard until they did "LOUDER" screen. I almost had a seizure. I can't beleive that's even allowed by the NCAA.
