TJ Barnes!!!!!!!!

Love the news, welcome to the flats TJ. Was this a case of wanting to get away from the Bama/AU pressure and go somewhere were he would come in with no preconceived notions? Like the story of former UM Tackle Eric Winston, Aggie family pressure and Longhorn peer pressure so he finally shut both camps down and came to "da U".
 
Or maybe he sees the value in Tech? Why can't a guy just like us instead of escaping pressure?

I not saying liking us wasn't a factor, just asking how much of a factor the homeschool pressure was? I just want to find out if this is one of those cases where the kid gets so much pressure from the home team that he ends up sick of it and looks to go elsewhere. This isn't that unusual it has happened to lots of guys like Derrick Strait, Austin native who went to OU, Clinton Portis Gainesville native that went to UM (got booed at his graduation for it) and recently Matt Patchan who said countless times he was a "Cane since birth" but went to UF despite family pressure (Dad played at Miami). I just want to find out if the home team pressure had an adverse effect which coupled with all that Tech has to offer sent the kid over to us.

Does anyone remember the last time we got a lineman this big. Would we really have that much weight blocking up the middle of the DL? This is fantastic news for the D.....or the O, but I would think the PJ would want a quicker OL. Anyone care to chime in on the best position on the line(o or d) to put this beast?
 
Hopefully this guy can start the snowball rolling in our favor again. And he would certainly make a very large snowball!
 
I see he has an "Enterprise" T-shirt on in one of the Scout pics. Is he a product of Enterprise High School just outside of Dothan, Alabama? That school was hit hard by a nasty tornado last spring.
