TO and TQM UNC triple plays

I thought tm played decent, and it's important to keep him semi-fresh. I don't mind having TO on a short leash and getting TM some time if TO struggles.

Its good to hear both were running true triple. That can really open up the offense in my opinion.

Also, I know TM didn't pass, but I really liked TO's check down on his second pass.

TO missed an open receiver going into an end zone... but he hit a different one...

Taquon just didn't look like he has the same burst before he got hurt. That first run he broke I was expecting to him rip off 60 yards, but he just didn't seem to get it into that top gear he has.

He was limping after the 1st time he was tackled. Clearly not 100%.

Am I the only person who doesn’t like referring to it as “the triple option “? It’s either an inside veer or an outside veer.
CPJ doesn't refer to his offense as the triple option that I am aware of

The difference between TO and TQM is the ability to get north and south. TO just hits it and TQM dances, gets strung out sideways, or tries to be a super hero. I’d be curious to see their yards per rush

TO: 5.91 yds/rush
TQM: 4.88 yds/rush

TQM is actually the lowest yds/rush on the team (among people with more than a handful of rushes), and TO is a hair off being the second lowest yds/rush on the team. QB's have to deal with busted plays and QB pressures and coverage sacks and the like, which BB's and AB's don't see very often.

I also don't think I've ever heard coach call it veer in the media. I have heard him say triple though.
Yeah this is the part that confuses me. Coach always says TO and never, ever mentions veer, yet we get corrected on this frequently on this board.

Yeah idk. The play is literally inside/outside veer, but if coach calls it triple, I don't think we should get our panties in a bunch when posters call it triple.
