Todays AJC article

Here’s another article from the AJC, but this is Schultz and isn’t as positive as Sugura’s article.

FWIW, that article is from The Athletic. I do not believe Schultz write for the AJC any more, but someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't know why I didn't put it all together so clearly before, but I now see that Stansbury took all his chips and put them on one roll of the dice at the craps table with the CGC hire. Win big or go away. So far, it is looking like maybe he rolled snake eyes, in which case IMO he will absolutely have to go away. But maybe one of the dies has one more magical turn this year before settling, and will end up a 6 rather than a 1- I sure as hell hope so.

Meanwhile I'm amused by the repeated references to "uncertainty." CGC has FOUR more years on his contract, and GT athletics is drunker and broker than a sailor after a three day pass in Vegas. So I do not know what is uncertain about CGC's future - win or lose. He is safe for another year or two. As far as "on-field" uncertainty . . . no one should confuse "crappy" with "uncertain." The last three years have been crappy, but they have been an absolute model of consistency. You can expect and will get three wins Every. Single. Year. WTF is uncertain about that?

Anyway, those exit statements look to me like they were written by the same PR stooge, or some Bot at MyPortalAnnouncement.com.

Thanks for the laughs.

Oops, correct. And think you’re also correct about Shultz.
