He was successful at Texas and prior to that at Houston. Longhorns should not have let him go, but if ever a school has more money than brains it's TEXAS.
 
I don’t consider his stint at Texas “successful” - and neither did they (fans and AD alike). There are too many resources and few reasons to not win 9-10 games/year.
 
He did great at UH but left them in lurch a bit
But he only had one mediocre year at Texas

He's sniffing, just not the type of bowl we're wanting.
 
Tom Herman is a great coach and recruiter. Texas is a different animal where money and involved people abound. Every coach that has been there has had to fight that. Steve Sark is beneftting because Herman and the prior guy demanded and fought for change. Sometimes it takes time to defeat the money and they have the money.
