No, Cooper was moved back to safety because he wasnt good at Wolf/Nickel back!!! Reese and Reid are playing the Wolf/Nickel backbecause they can cover a slot receiver better than Coop. That is the reason for the change.

Coop has moved to Free Safety, permanently. AT, Reid, Dominique, and Mario Edwards are taking reps at Wolf.
this thread is awful.
Coop is probably the fastest guy on the team. I believe he was clocked in the 4.3's recently.I think I'd take the faster part at face value.
Can we get some clarification, by some folks in the know, as to the difference between the Wolf and the Husky positions. My understanding is the Husky is closer to a traditional Nickelback. Kind of a mix between S and CB. Where as the Wolf is in between a S and LB. Both need to be able to cover a 3rd WR and also play the run well. Am I way off? Seems like we don't really have anybody, except maybe Mario Edwards, who fits the Wolf role but we have several guys who fit the Husky role (that is if I understand the positions correctly).
Some guys on another board are trashing Coop saying he was moved because he couldn't cut it at wolf. They are saying his tackle totals are due to pushing guys out of bounds and jumping on the pile after the tackle is made. They are saying he doesn't hit a ball carrier he tangles them up in his long limbs and trips them and that he shys away from contact.
His hit on the FSU RB was a lucky "close-your eyes-and-hope-for-the-best" thing.
Is this the consensus opinion here, too?

Nice. AT for when it's a linebacker, and Reese for when it's a DB. I always liked the way Reese tackled when I saw him in practice.

Wouldn't this negate the whole Wolf idea? If the wolf is to be a linebacker/safety hybrid -- a small linebacker or large safety -- it seemed to me that Taylor fit the bill. AT is a linebacker and Reese is a DB. You are back to playing a 4-3 or nickel back in third and long if you are playing those two.
Don't get me wrong; I trust the coaches to put the best lineup on the field.
