Tough Day for the Gailey Haters!!!!

Today, Chan Gailey proved he deserves a 10 year contract extension. He has built the foundation through much turmoil, and it paid off. After today, Georgia Tech football is back.

Glad for TC and the great day he had. Also, bowl eligable and hopefully we can stay on east coast for it.

Glad for the kids, a Tech win is always great.

I think we should erect a statue of Gailey and place it right next to Heisman.

Its a tough day for Gailey lovers too cause we still look like crap in way too many fundamental aspects of the game.

The O Line got beat often by the rampacious Duke rush.

Taylor still throws a lot of one hoppers...

D Thomas could catch a cold in the emergency room....

We let Duke block a punt... straight up the middle.

Nesbitt got 1 series in the whole game until mop up time.

*sigh*
Can't we enjoy a win without all the smartassed comments?

We'll probably beat UNC but our chances are slim to none against UGa, so y'all will have plenty of oportunity for extended Chan bashing.

The sad thing is that CG places as much importance on today's win as he does the vpi blowout.

I am ready for something like "We went on the road and got a tough conference win today."

The low expectations of the remaining few hitched to Gailey don't bother me nearly as much as CG's low expectations.
The so called "bowl streak" is a sham.

OK, pouchclock, 'splain yoreseff....

Today, win was NOT more important than the VPI loss?

The bowl streak is meaningless?

Are you on drugs? Or am I?

It is sad that this "bowl streak" is so highly regarded. I hope you all don't reward mediocrity in your businesses like that.

Yeah, 'cause everybody has the bowl streak we do, since it's so easy to do it - right?

Good way to throw the "mediocrity" talking point in there, though! Bravo!

1) Beating dook has to happen. It is expected. It's a no brainer, an automatic, a slam dunk, a gimmee if you will.

2)

Do I need to 'splain anything else for you?

Ah! So the bowl streak really didn't happen! Which year did we not go. To a bowl?

I think that it is great that we won and that we are bowl eligible. I did not get to see the game, but listened to it on the radio. It sounded like we did not play a good game, but thankfully we were playing Duke so it did not matter in the end. Based on what I heard, we would probably lose to UNC if we played like we did today and would probably get blown out by UGA. We need to pull it together and finish it out strong. We are capable of winning each of our last two games and I doubt that we will play a bowl team that will not be beatable.

Regardless of the outcome next week, the Swagger Coordinator will be returning prior to the UGA game.

And regardless of what anyone says I think that the Bowl streak is a significant accomplishment, but finishing just barely over 0.500 is not.
