The bowl streak < Playing in a BCS game every 2-3 years, and occasionally missing a bowl game every 2-3 years
 
If we play as well as we did today vs Duke, we can beat UNC, but we won't beat UGA.
 
If we play like we did today I don't think we beat UNC. Duke is really just that awful. They handed us the game...I've never seen so many stupid plays. First punt of the game, their returner makes a sliding fair catch. Second punt? Tries to make a sliding fair catch again(god, why?) and fumbles. And I've never seen so many wide open catches dropped, and I've been watching both Tech and Falcons football for the past several years.

We played really crappy today...Duke really just is unequivocally bad.
 
There are too many bowls. Becoming "bowl eligible" is the joke. Big deal if we still lose to the dawgs. I'd rather whip UGA's sorry ass any day than go to some cocksucker bowl.

I'll say it again. It's sad that this bowl streak is so highly regarded around some parts of the GT family. A bowl streak to reward mediocrity and a less than mediocre coach.

Saying the bowl streak has no value is just plain dumb. Saying it's as important as, say the ACCCG or beating UGA is equally dumb.

The thing that sucks about these "BOWL STREAK IS IMPORTANT, NO ITS NOT, YES IT IS" threads is that it's just a big strawman contest between both sides.

That's stupid. The bowl streak isn't all that big a deal other than to identify us as a school that hasn't had a losing record in quite a while. That's not nothing, but it's not all that significant either. Plus it has nothing to do with Chan except for the last 6 years.
