Traditions

Let's talk about the DUMBEST tradition in college football: The UGA giant hydrant.

I can't believe I missed the Varsity. Chili Cheese burgers and a frosted orange.

222-0 and 45-42.

I definitely think that Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas have us beat....and as much as I hate the Noles....The spear at the 50 gets ya jacked up.

As far as pre-game .... Notre Dame's Marching band is hard to top

But I love to see dem' boys running behind the Wreck...not doubt

USC (west) and then sword at the 50 is awesome.

I gotta be honest, if I wasn't a Tech fan I'd think the Yella Fellas were a gay touch. But hey, to each his own

I've caught so much @?#! About those dudes, I just have to shake my head

Wasn't that the BC game in '07? Seems like a fan threw a liquor bottle that hit one of the officials. I was in the East stands for the F$U game in '02 when a bunch of folks threw bottle and all kinds of garbage at the F$U bench.

This may have happened, but it's not the game TG was referring to. Game in question was ND '06.

My Dad used to sing a Tech song about getting an Agnes Scot girl pregnant. Obviously it was old school, I don't think he's been to Dickhater in a while.

Funny... I remember that (#3 on my list) but thought it was too recent for the comment. And I was a little intoxicated and busy yelling at Brady Quinn medicine woman to remember clearly how much was thrown on the field. This was after the "helmet to helmet," right?

One of the worst calls I've ever had to go through. *shakes head*

Not sure which of you gentlemen said this, but this was after the GT BC game with Matt Ryan at BDS

"What makes it worse is that the fans were apparently throwing things at the officials. To throw things at people who can barely see is despicable."

It was actually the ND game in 2006. Watch the replay of the game, and you won't miss it.

Yep right after. As the referee was announcing the call a water bottle, thrown with considerable precision, hit the douche. I tell you what I was incredibly pissed off at the moment (b/c that call on Wheeler was total bullsh!t), but I look back now with a smile on my face.:)

I believe there was a Thursday night game in Atlanta during the O'Leary era when we destroyed Maryland and fans threw seat cushion onto the field.

There was also a game against Wake when there was an obvious pass interference, but it wasn't called. (And when I say obvious, I mean you could get the most passionate Wake or UGA fan to agree.) Anyway, the fans booed and booed, Tech scored a touchdown a few plays later, and the fans kept booing. Don't remember stuff being thrown on the field, but I could be wrong.

It was a pussy call. I have no regrets.
