OK, when we were in school in the 70's and we won an away game we got drunk and raised hell. I drove thru the campus after the game and those bunch of Liberal Tree Hugging Nerds had not dome a thing to the Campus to celebrate the WIN.

Toilet paper was not seen any where, no one staggering down the street, Hell it looked like a class day. Heck I thought I saw the Library open and the lights on in the Architecture building. Those kids must have been watching the new Hillary ad on CNN.

Hope the players are not shocked to see a
Clean Campus.

We did that when we beat Miami a couple years ago. It was fun. This wasn't that big of a game I don't think...I think those reactions are saved for top-5 victories or UGA victories.

Yeah, when we beat Miami it was awesome (on east campus atleast, I heard west campus was boring). Most of the partying seems to be staying inside tonight. I have been inside all day watching football, but I glanced outside after we won, and no one was doing anything, so we all just stayed inside and kept watching football.

Sad to think that the team returns after a great game and a good loud crowd is not there to welocme the Fish Killers.

They usually let us know when the players are returning so we can greet them.

Maybe some think GT's standards should allow for this to be the norm, not the unusual.

So what's the big deal? Our guys go up to South Bend and hand ND their arse along with their worst opening day loss. Ho Hum. Just business as usual.

Not.

I am not disagreeing with any of you. If it was up to me we would be all over the campus. Many people at this school are nerds and do not even know what football is. So please don't blame this on me.

I am as big a GT fan as you can find. Unfortunately many of my classmates do not see any reason to "waste time" watching or celebrating football when there is academics to be done.

I mean, what is the purpose in life if everything is all work!?

While that is true, I also think this just wasn't that big of a win. Honestly, for anyone who follows the team, this win was kind of a given...I know you don't assume anything and we weren't taking it for granted, but it was definitely no surprise to any of us that we won.

This is the first step in what should be a great season; but it is just that, the first step. A reason to be happy and optimistic, but not for a raucous celebration...save that for the Thursday night VT game and the U[sic]GA game(and beyond).

Hey why you guys not in the Library studying, it is 80 degrees and sunny outside, get the hell to the Hill and study.

Good point, being in my 50's I do not keep up with the school schedule, just the important things like Football schedule and my tee times.

I am still on the Quarter system not the Semester schedule.

Truth be told.

You should have been on campus after the Clemson win in 2004 or Auburn in 2005. These were big wins. The fact of the matter is that we beat a team we were supposed to beat.

The only thing I was upset about is no one told us when the players were going to get back. I don't care if it was 6am, I was still awake and I would have been out there (I am on west campus and not going to hike across campus in the middle of the night unless I know someone will be there). I even emailed some people trying to get a time and no one answered back.
