Good question. Im going to take a complete shot in the dark, and guess it was probably in the 50s or 60s when that happened.

Im also guessing it was probably a school with some money, and doing reasonably well at the time, so Im going to guess... Duke?
 
I pretty sure that Chevy introduced the 409 in 1961. The SS Impala.

Maybe that helps someone, I have no idea about the names on the Jersey.


My grandpa actually has a perfect '70 SS for sale in Hampton. Absolutely gorgeous and all original. If anyone is interested, just drop me a PM.
 
During my senior yr in hs my mom's wagon went into the dealership for some work. Loaner was a white SS coupe, 409 w/ a 4 spd, hope they didnt check the tread remaining on the tires when they got it back!
