Trucks for Buckeyes

This going to get of hand. Now just imagine what the other 38 on the two deep are going to feel like with all their off season work and contribution to the team's success but get no NIL goodies. NCAA had screwed it all up!
Maybe some of them will transfer to other schools where they can be a top player and make these deals...

The combination of the NIL and the free transfer rule do give me cause for concern. I could easily see a smaller market team like GT losing our best players year-to-year because they can get better payouts elsewhere… and honestly it would be hard to blame a kid for taking the money.

Our market is huge, tbh. Here's the 700 IQ move though, it's time to start recruiting a few roster spots for people just because they have social media influencer potential. Their proximity to your locker room makes every other roster spot exponentially more valuable to marketers, and thus to recruits. I'll delete this post in one hour.

I think somebody on this very board brought that up as a possibility.

I don't remember who...

In all fairness, everyone knew that Buck Belue and Hushell got free fancy cars from some dwag booster back in 1981. I believe one of them drove a Trans Am. I'm pretty sure Belue took a yuge paycut after he left UGAG and started playing minor league baseball for the Expos.

Find a few instagram girls with eligibility and make them backup kickers. Doesn't matter if they've never kicked a football before.

Maybe you guys are already knowledgeable about this new marketing platform for the NIL era. Looks like everyone is using it, including us.

There are haves and have not on every roster; and its been that way forever:
  1. Rich kids and poor kids
  2. Guys thay slay puss; and guys that dont
  3. Guys that play and guys that dont

This doesnt drastically change anything related to locker room jealously

I don’t understand why this so hard for some to grasp
