I'll give him a few passes. He's a true freshman playing his 1st college snaps against likely NFL talent on that DL. I just mean his sheer size, muscle mass, and athletic ability. When has GT brought in kids that looked like that? My gosh he's huge! He's a bad man. He did get whipped on that second interception though.
Agreed. Will probably move to LT in a year or two to protect Sims’ back once he has more game experience. If you can roll out there in your first game as a true freshman and hold up against the athletes FSU runs out there then you're probably going to be pretty damn good. I have very high hopes for him over his career at Tech. It will be really nice for Sims to have that anchor protecting him.
And he's only gonna get stronger. Good GodI'll give him a few passes. He's a true freshman playing his 1st college snaps against likely NFL talent on that DL. I just mean his sheer size, muscle mass, and athletic ability. When has GT brought in kids that looked like that? My gosh he's huge!

Yeah, i didn't really want to comment on his feet (bc I'm no expert), but since you did, I'll say that I saw the same thing. He's probably carrying a little more weight than he can handle at the moment, but you're probably not going through him. If you get around him, fine, but that's going to take time, and being on Sims right side, he can see it coming.Watching the game again and focusing on him, his feet seem a little slow and he was getting beat a fair amount. I think that’s a testament to the gameplan and how well Sims played too with his pocket awareness and getting the football out.
That being said we didn’t give up many sacks (1?) against what pretty much everybody is calling an elite DL. And playing all 80 snaps is a good indication of a good conditioning base. So wouldn’t be hard at all to imagine him looking better against relatively worse DLs as he gains experience.
Did either play or was the game just too close? I figured with a free year we might get them some PT if they are ATLRealize that we have Wing Green and Rankins in development, 6'6" and 6'7". We're going to be pretty good at tackle going forward.

According to the post game participation report, no other OL played beyond the starting 5. Long and Coco played but I think they were snapping. From last week’s presser, Kenny Cooper was supposed to be the first man up at either C or OG. Not sure who was first up at OT.Did either play or was the game just too close? Neither was listed on the ATL chart.Did either play or was the game just too close? I figured with a free year we might get them some PT if they are ATL
If this is true, that is extremely impressive.According to the post game participation report, no other OL played beyond the starting 5. Long and Coco played but I think they were snapping. From last week’s presser, Kenny Cooper was supposed to be the first man up at either C or OG. Not sure who was first up at OT.
No. Cochran was penciled in at LT and Quinney at RT. But your basic point is correct. This is the position Cochran was supposed to fill. No doubt, with his experience, Cochran would have been more consistent. You can see already that Williams is a true talent and just gets better from here. Don’t underestimate how important It is that Ryan Johnson is next to him. This accelerates his development.
Where do I find? I wanted to see snap counts for players...especially younger players.According to the post game participation report
