True Freshman OL Jordan Williams

He was great; really surprised he was able to play that well overall. He will only get better each week.

Watching the game again and focusing on him, his feet seem a little slow and he was getting beat a fair amount. I think that’s a testament to the gameplan and how well Sims played too with his pocket awareness and getting the football out.

One of the hardest things to teach an interior lineman is to use short, choppy steps to move, engage and stay engaged in PassPro. The natural tendency is to use long strides & that gets you off balance and beaten by a DL who knows what he's doing.

Experience (and Brent Key) will get that fixed.

According to the post game participation report, no other OL played beyond the starting 5. Long and Coco played but I think they were snapping. From last week’s presser, Kenny Cooper was supposed to be the first man up at either C or OG. Not sure who was first up at OT.
That isn't entirely accurate because Kenny Cooper played on the FG team and isn't listed in the participation report

For perspective, here's the starting 5 offensive linemen weights and heights of all superbowl winners. At age 18, Jordan is 330 lbs and 198 cm (communist units). The sky is the limit for him with Brent Key teaching him.

I remember those Dallas teams being massive and the Denver teams being light but fast.

It’s looking like a bad idea to trust that participation PDF. Jaytlin Askew just named one of ‘Saturday’s Standouts” and I notice he’s not on the pdf either.

I think for some reason that PDF is only showing offense and defensive starters and did not include special teams. Pretty sure Askew only played on special teams.

No penalties all game on him.. pretty sure. That’s impressive

Edit: wait I remember he was down field once but still not bad

Our S&C is ridiculously improved. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the coach get poached. It’s also what gives me hope against up tempo offenses like UCF.

Tech is home for Lew. This isn't his first stint with the team
And he is in tune with his boss. For the most talented people doing what they love this is vital.

However, if he keeps finishing the drill with his wife, we won't afford him.

Shut your filthy mouth. Lew is drinking the juice and ATL is home.

We better get our minds adjusted to the idea that our coaches are going to get poached as we become more successful. It's a natural thing.
