Trying to understand recruiting -- TE Seither

Kids are promised the world by coaching staffs and don't take the idea of competition seriously since they've always been the best on their teams. It doesn't matter how stacked positions are, coaches promise playing time and the NFL to get people on their teams, and once they're signed, part of the battle is over.
