Two Missed Calls

Excellent point re: the Clemson game...

Bad calls by refs are part of the game. Remember that holding call against Clemson in their last drive that brought back a 1st down pass by Harper?

The two missed calls sucked but it didn't suck as much as our defense and the mistakes made on offense.

there were 2 bad calls that worked in our favor in Clemson, the holding call and the roughing the kicker. If you read these boards long enough you will realize that "poor officiating" threads are much more common after a loss than a win for some reason or another.

I will admit that there seems to be some evidence growing of an ACC conspiracy to jack us around with officiating, but despite Beej's growing mound of zebra ****, I still cannot fathom that Swofford could mastermind this. He's a turd. I believe it more if Miami wasn't a festering pile of ****.

Swofford is an evil mastermind. Someone should shoot him in the head with a high caliber rifle at range.

The refs blew a couple of big calls, but they always blow several calls in any game. The problem is the only time they generally matter is when it's a close game, and then they become huge. However, players make mistakes, coaches make mistakes and refs make mistakes. When we put the ball on the ground on the 5 yard line in a one score game, it's hard to put blame on the refs.

Maybe we could come to a "gentleman's agreement" with the FSU defense and have them let D-Train run over the ref. Somehow, if the outcome of the game was not in doubt, I think they would agree to this.

Both calls were correct. What I can't believe hasn't been called two weeks in a row is the D-lineman grabbing the face mask, ripping the helment off and tossing it.

This is NOT supposed to be a "poor officiating thread"!!!! I tried to spell that out, but I guess it is inevitable that it would turn into one.

FTR, my whole point was that in other wins we have gotten calls to go our way that may have reversed those games as well. But the fans' attitudes are dramatically different for similar team performance but for a few calls one way or the other.

If ACC officials got all the calls correct over the last 10 years, we'd have 1 or 2 more ACC hoops championships, and Chan Gailey would be a fixture here with about an 80% winning record.

If Chan Gailey and Patrick Nix had developed a QB over the past 6 years, they'd not have needed all those ref calls to let them win.

No matter how many times they had sex, a QB would not have developed. Didn't anyone ever explain that to you?
