This is true, and what happens a lot in HS, but I think he will be an asset especially when he's willing to give up a free ride at WP to be a PWO at Tech. We know he will work harder than most.

He should see the same in practice at Georgia Tech. He's going to be another scout team beast we get to hear about.
 
well, not sure about DE for me. Perhaps, he grows and becomes a 3tech DT and I can see that.

Total get that and wish the guy well.

Whoever made his video didn't do him any favors. If I'm a coach, I'd watch that for 30 seconds and stop watching because it looks like his best highlights are unblocked runs directly at the QB. You have to get about 2 minutes into the video before he starts shedding blocks and stuffing run plays.
 
Really good first step and he's quick. Being the County sack leader in Gwinnett is nothing to scoff at.
 
It usually takes linemen a few years to grow into the college game, so who knows what they will become. He's 6'4" and has good speed, and committed to Army in November, so he should be academically and character-wise a good fit for us.
 
Several things struck me, the good first step was obvious, he seems to have long arms, based on some of the tackles and the kid is strong ... all plusses ... :biggthumpup::biggthumpup::biggthumpup:
 
the guy must be playing vs weak competition because he makes them look pathetic- OR -he is flat quick and instinctive
what is his school ?

Mill Creek. Best of Gwinnett this year. I wouldn't say the talent was weak. He did benefit from a lot of missed blocking assignments in those highlights. Fought off a few guys though.
 
Mill Creek/AAAAAA is not bush league. The guy is not getting blocked in a lot of those because he's outquicking his blocker or he's not supposed to be blocked and still running down the play. Welcome to the flats Tyler!
