Tyler Vernon - PWO

the guy must be playing vs weak competition because he makes them look pathetic- OR -he is flat quick and instinctive
what is his school ?

“They also want me to redshirt to give me some time to develop this next year under their strength and conditioning program.”

Georgia Tech is landing a top-flight player from one of the toughest regions in the country. Vernon is battle-tested against consensus 3 & 4 star offensive tackles from all across the state.

this is great news!!!

Why not a full ride? He certainly warrants it!

why give a kid a ship when he is ok with being a walk on? You can use that ship on someone else. We need numbers and depth not feel good stories. Our D stinks. Its just the truth. We have bigtime issues and need numbers

We have probably offered up all of our 'ships. If someone doesn't sign with us, this guy is probably next on the list. CPJ has done this in the past. Lots of schools do.

Now, if we want to move up into the top 25 in recruiting, we offer the guy a 'ship and count our numbers post signing day. At that point, the SA is stuck. You then either force a grayshirt or run someone off in spring camp. That is how the big boys do it.

I am glad we don't run the game that way.

God bless him that he wants to join the Jackets but I don't think we are so hot we can jerk kids around like that. We don't like it when kids string us along. I would rather pull the trigger and NO we aren't stifled with ships. I promise we have plenty of wiggle room!

well, we gave stewart a ship liek you were saying...next in line when a kid left...so that could be the case with this dude. But I am glad we are holding him off a bit...and we are honest...so thats good. Its when its dishonest.

Kid was offered by all 3 military academies. I would hope that means he has a great work ethic.

This guy plays the game the way its supposed to be played. Gives 110% at all times. He's also a student of the game. A real first man in, last man out kind of mentality.

If true, very surprised that he wouldn't go with one of those. Great honor to attend.

Maybe he wants to win more than 3 games a year. Awwwwww too soon?
