No idea. The bad thing is that Cox really hasn't played that badly this year. His line isn't opening holes for the running game which is letting defenses key on him. I got in an argument yesterday with a UGA student that I went to high school with. All he could say is that Cox is no Stafford, he's the reason they're 3-3, blah blah blah, etc. He stopped when I asked him how Joe Cox let the defense give up 45 points to one of the worst offenses in the country. Most of the ones I know really don't know a thing about football.
 
I posted this the other day during the UT game. Heard this from a reliable source, but it is 3rd hand -- but could explain why they are still playing Cox.

I don't know. Did you see that awful pick he threw yesterday when he was trying to throw the ball away? He flipped this limp rainbow toward the sideline which was easily picked off. It was a terrible decision for a guy who was supposed to be the steady senior leader. Seems to me that Cox gets down on himself and looks scared and uncomfortable a lot.

Obviously he's good enough to beat us though unless we get a lot better in the next few weeks.
 
All I hear from Pup fans is that Murray was the greatest high school quarterback since Matthew Stafford. Injury kept him from beating out Cox, but he is the "championship" quarterback.

Does anyone have the "truth"?

Please :laugher::laugher::laugher: UGA has no where near the offense FSU has. FSU is VERY good offensively. UGA is not....not even close. If Tennessee can do what they did offensively to UGA, we'll put up 50+.

I'm pretty sure U[sic]GA is going to hang 30+ on us easily. You think receivers have been getting open lately? Ever seen this Green kid play? He'll have a field day no matter who's at QB.

That being said, we showed yesterday that we can win a game like that. It's not the fun or easy way, but we can always win if we match a team score for score(last Thanksgiving comes to mind.)

I've been hearing uga's freshman qb is still suffering from a bicep tear, but that he's going to be great when he does play.

and we also heard that "Mean Joe Cox" was going to be UGA's answer...

but make no mistake, if our defense doesn't step up we will be having shootouts like no other

Greene, Pollack, & Blue made CMR a rich man. They would also transform this current bunch into a very good team. Until they replace these 3 along with maintaining their OL, there is gonna be turmoil in Athens.
