UGA/LSU - Dejected fan shots

With regard to what happened in the video, they call that crap a celebration penalty? I guess you're just supposed to march dejectedly back to your sideline like a prisoner. Back to your cell, citizen.

Have I said F the NCAA lately? F the NCAA.

That was a pure 'makeup' call. They blew the celebration call after UGAg scored, and they figured "hey here's a chance to 'fix' it"

So instead of screwing a call once, they figured screwing a call twice was better as long as it got both teams.

I know that it was a make-up call, but what constitutes celebration or not in the NCAA rulebook is ridiculous. Georgia's sideline being douchy and storming the endzone? They deserved one unsportsmanlike conduct penalty per player and subsequently kicking off from Cuba. A penalty for throwing your arms up and pointing to the sky after dropping the football? That's nearly as stupid as penalizing Jake Locker for flipping the ball straight up after he scored a touchdown.

The problem with the rule is that it is either enforced too sporadically or not enough. I have no problem with encouraging sportsmanlike conduct, but if you're going to do that, throw the flag every time until people flip the ball to the ref and run back to the sidelines. If you aren't going to do that, then don't throw the flag in a monumental part of the game... unless its against uga.

Here's a dejected player, courtesy of the AJC:
