UGA Tickets 45$

Wow. Buy them suckers up.

It is a new era indeed when UGA fans have no extra tickets to buy from GT in 2009 and then in 2010 GT fans DO have extra tickets to buy from UGA.
 
I went to their website and it looks like it's sold out, because it says "Unable to secure seats in this Price Level" after trying to get the $45 tickets.

FWIW, GT students didn't buy out the student allotment for this game. Makes sense since they are $75.

Also makes sense because the students don't even fill out the allotment for home games.

WHUAAA?!

That sucks. Maybe I had it backwards and GT didn't sell out their allotment so UGA had extras.

Wouldn't GT have the opportunity to offer unsold student tickets to GT season ticket holders and alumni if they are not snatched up, because I know for a fact that the requested UGA tickets by season ticket holders WERE sold out.

How does that work exactly?
 
I don't know, they sent an email saying tickets were still available until friday for students.
 
Anyway, why would you buy a $75 ticket from GTAA for a 600 seat if you can scalp one for much cheaper?

I understand buying from GTAA for a bowl since that might get us in a better bowl in the future and GTAA might be on the hook for a given number of tickets.
 
Wow, student tickets didn't sell out? I went to two Clemson away games and every UGA away game while I was a student and every one went to a lottery. One UGA away game I didn't get picked and needed to go on ebay to get my seats.
 
Yeah, looks like they are sold out. If students aren't buying the tickets, they should definitely offer them to the season ticket holders. We requested 8 of them at the beginning of the year and didn't get any.

The Georgia Tech Athletic Ticket Office has a limited number of tickets remaining for the Georgia-Georgia Tech football game next Saturday, November 27 in Athens. Game time is 7:45pm.

This remaining ticket inventory is from our recent student ticket sale. This year, we had fewer students purchase a ticket for the game than in previous years. As a valued and loyal season ticket holder, we would like to give you an opportunity to purchase these unsold tickets.

Price per ticket is $75; tickets are located above the student areas in the 600 Level. Remaining tickets are first-come, first-served.

If you are interested in ticket purchase, please contact the Georgia Tech athletic ticket office at 404-894-5447 or 888-832-4849 or stop by the ticket office window on the NE Corner of the Edge Building.

Well there ya' go gtcole,get on down to the GTAA ticket office and buy you some tickets.
 
$75 is asking too much of the students especially this year IMO. Any reason why the tickets went up from $50?

I was one of the first few in line at the ticket office in '06 and sat next to the band. Did the same thing in '08 and got stuck in the 600s on the same side but opposite corner as the band. Still wasn't bad even with the rain considering the mayhem that was the second half.

I liked what they did for the ACC CG in '06 when they gave students a discount on ticket prices. But I understand that in these times they may have to charge more. I usually don't feel bad ponying up a few more bucks to sit down low next to the band at road/bowl games anyways.

They charge us whatever we charge them the year before.

GTcole - I requested 4 and got 4. Unfortunately, I can't go because of a family commitment. Let me know if you are interested in buying them..
