UGA will change coachs, we need to do

That link contains no actual news or information about UGA coaching changes, just speculation that UGA might make changes on the staff at the end of the year.

And what does this have to do with Wommack? I sure as hell hope that CPJ doesn't factor what UGA is doing into decisions he makes...
 
UGAy or not Wommack better perform a miracle between now and the end of the season or he will hold the title of the worst Defensive Coordinator GT history...

I think we can do much better than Wommack but I also think we can do MUCH worse. We should stick with Wommack until we get the chance to hire a real home-run hitter at DC. Like Clemson's Kevin Steele hire, he was a great hire.

On a side note, can you imagine if we somehow through an act of God got Bud Foster as our DC? This team would be unstoppable. A man can dream.
 
Here's my simple, fool-proof formula for determining whether firing Wommack is the right move: If CPJ does it, it's the right move. If he does not, it's not.

My problem with the results we've seen goes back to how we ended last year. We seemed to be getting worse at the end of the year even though we had 3 guys who are in the NFL (and one who will be soon); I'm referring specifically to the Florida State, UGA, and LSU games. Yes, I know we gave LSU some short fields, but that wasn't the case in the UGA game. I'm not suggesting firing him, but he did have talent last year.

I think he has it this year too....at least to be better than we have been.

Our D1A opponents average 27 PPG against us...that's pretty bad even if our defensive talent is in a "down" year.

So far our only "good" defensive showing vs a D1A team has come in a game in which the opposing offense was only on the field for 15 minutes.

I'm not ready to throw him under the bus yet, because you can see him actively changing things that aren't working and trying new approaches...but we MUST improve on D.
