ugag Football Team Major Mass Exit

Sonny was a highly respected high school coach. That is sad that he fell on the bowl trip and died from post-operative complications. Prayers for the family.
Anesthesia for old people is bad. I don’t know if that’s what caused his demise, after surgery complications makes it sound likely.

yep. to be dealing with having father in hospital and trying to coach a game. brutal.

Wasn't Bobby Ross 's mother hospitalized and near death during the Citrus Bowl in '91? Certainly a terrible event to have to deal with in those circumstances.

Really, I thought he was UscW's 4th option at WR? He had 1 TD, it must have been a whopper.
You need to look at his 2 years overall. While he did regress as a sophomore, he’s still a #1 type WR and dangerous KO returner. Like Singleton, he is a big loss for the disaster that is USC at the moment (outside of going 2-0 over the upper tier sec this year). His brother was just a package deal like he was when they signed with USC. Still a good player, but he will be a backup at uga.

Extremely high mortality rate for elderly persons getting hip replacement.
I've been wondering what complications can arise with hip surgery/replacement? I know a few older folks who are considering hip or knee replacement.

Agree, he'll provide them some depth but unless he can pull off a couple returns like he did as a freshman, he'll have a marginal impact. He's not the elite WR they're hoping to get, but maybe they got soemthing else out there. Hope not.

Once he gets fully immersed into the F&F lifestyle in Athens he won’t be worth a damn

According to word floating around, 30-35 ugag players announced they were entering the transfer portal basically simultaneously at noon today. The word is that they were not very happy with what Kirby said after the game basically blaming them for the loss. Stay tuned. Should be interesting.
Apparently this was hogwash.

based on pics of him i would have guessed he was mid 80's. but he was 76. ie he didn't look very healthy.

also having emergency surgery in a city you are not familiar with is less than ideal. that's the kind of thing you would like to be able to vet before going thru with it.

The transfer portal and NIL changes fortune for conferences outside of SEC. I wouldn’t be surprised in a few years that only 1 or 0 SEC schools make playoffs at all. Nick Saban saw this coming and ran faster than Noah Lyles lolll

I think the number was inflated, but uga will be losing 20+ counting the players declaring for the NFL.

The few good players they have will leave either for other programs or the NFL. The rest pretty much sucked and mutt would have been better off if they left. It's a great thing most are staying. You think they're howling now having lost 1 of 2 OOC games that mattered, the one they won only because the sec refs fingers on the scale. Next year they're lose 5 games total, they won't win any OOC game that matters. They got a weak ass sec-style schedule, but they'll be 4-4 in conference and be relegated to Memphis or Birmingham.
