UGAG Game Time

Does anyone know the last time UGAg and Tech played in a night game?
 
Yeah. That was the only time I went to the UGA game during my time as a student, since I had to drive back from home the day-of.

The atmosphere that night was the most intense and electric I ever felt at BDS. Unfortunately, that didn't really translate into a win.

Night games suck against UGA.

It makes you even more aggravated because they are even more drunk and stupid at that time of the day.

Of course, for the 25 years I have attended the game GT fans have always given their tix to UGA fans or brought their sorry rears with them to the game (why oh why!)....so it is really no different being in Atlanta than being in Athens.

I would rather eat my tickets than let them fall into the hands of a criminal.
 
I still remember the crushing feelling that came over me when Reggie threw that ball to the UGA guy and the upper north endzone went wild.

I also remember getting into a shouting match with some UGAG hicks in a red pickup truck while walking down 10th street afterwards. And the throngs of hicks piling out of the north stands yelling 'nerds' over the railing.

Next time I go to Tech/UGA at BDS, I'm bringing a gun.
 
I seriously thought about not coming to the game if it was at night. I can handle 3:30 better, just like my liquor.
 
I cannot remember a 3:30 kickoff against the Mutts in Atlanta. Maybe it's a good omen.

2005: 8pm
2003: Traditional 1pm (which is still the best IMO)
2001: 7:45
1999: Traditional 1pm
1997: Traditional 1pm
1995: 11am on the Friday after Thanksgiving
1993: Early afternoon?
1991: Noon
Can't remember back any further...

Funny, we had this coversation Saturday, and the concensus was, man, I hope it is not at night!
 
Good, I like this kickoff time. Hard to believe our only 3:30 home game this year has been Clemson. I'll gladly take that result again.

GT used to be the king of 3:30 ABC games and routinely play 4-5 a year. In both 3:30 games this year the team has given up a total of 3 points. I'll take that as a good omen.

This game is the only fist fight I've ever been involved in during a sporting event. Some inbred gas-pumping mutts tried to steal the flag that was hanging up over the North stands. A psuedo-brawl broke out, some UGay idiot above me started yelling and pushing his way up to the top, so I grabbed him by his North Face Fleece pull-over and threw him down about 3 rows. Needless to say he was upset and came back up at me, being a UGay retard he wasn't aware the advantage height brings in warfare -- he got a face full of size 13 and fell once more. Then the GA Tech police rushed in and thankfully didn't grab me ... they pretty much grabbed people in red and black :laugher:

Indeed. Going back to Nov. 2002 (a five-year span), we are 7-1 in 3:30 games at Grant Field. The only loss was to #4 Miami in 2004. If my memory of game times is correct, we are only 2-5 on the road in 3:30 games during that span.
