ugag must be sweating Van Gorder going to USCeast

lawbee, my problem with your post and other posts on this board turns on the obsession with what is going on with them, whether it be good or bad. But always talking about them makes us look like we've got an inferiority complex... But, I personally feel the constant "look at them" banter makes us look silly, or as my grandkids say, "dorky."

There's no doubt our seemingly constant obsession with Ugag makes us look like a guy with "short-man complex" that's always taking swipes at the big guy down the street. I think it makes us look like an inferior program that has to try to knock down something stronger in an effort to feel better about ourselves.
I think we should stand proud and do our talking on the field rather than sustaining a perception that keeps our popularity around the state at low levels. We need to act like we've been there before rather than simply trying to appear stronger by putting down someone else.

At one time we owned this State to such an extent that Dan Magill suggested to Wally Butts the notion of forming Bulldog Clubs so they could get find some folks to cheer for them. Back then they were the ones obsessed with us. We just went about our business kicking their behinds.

the only assistant coaches that Mark Richt fears are

David Cutcliffe and Charlie Strong.

I still don't understand why we wouldn't give Charlie serious consideration for the head coaching job. He's only shut down Richt's offense like 6 times in the past 7 years. But who's counting?

Paul Johnson will do a solid job, but the more I think about how certain segments and markets --- potential fans and recruits --- would have reacted to Strong coaching an urban market team like the Jackets. It certainly gives me pause.

What???

Paul Johnson will win big at GT and draw many more fans. Heck, we already have many GSU fans saying they have just become new GT fans.

Urban fans following Strong? :wow:

Because he's black.

I love more than anything(besides a Tech victory) to see them lose...I can't wait to root like hell for Hawai'i. Personally I don't see anything wrong with that...just like I loved it when all those OSU fans bought App. State gear after Michigan lost to them.
