How are they gonna do?

There are 2 ways this year could go for them and it depends on Joe Cox. UGAg fans are hyping him up to be the next Stafford and saying that another 10 win season is in the works.

1. If Cox plays well:

Ok State L
South Carolina W
Arkansas W
Arizona St. W
LSU L
Tennessee W
Florida L
Tennessee Tech W
Auburn W
Kentucky W
GT L

I would hate that.

However,

2. If Cox does not live up to the hype:

Ok State L
South Carolina L
Arkansas W
Arizona St. L
LSU L
Tennessee L
Florida L
Tennessee Tech W
Auburn W
Kentucky W
GT L

Pretty big difference I see and boy would I love it.

What do you guys think? I see this year as a 50/50 year for them. They will have a good season, or a bad season, no in between.

What I would love to see is and 0'fer.

If they are going to have a bad season they'll lose to Arkansas not Arizona St. As much as I hate them I don't see them losing to a team that didn't make a bowl game last season at home. I think we've become the same way now.

It's a pipe dream, but I would LOVE to see the fallout of an 1-5 or 0-6 start.

Realistically, there are at least 9 losable games on that schedule. Of course, those bastards always find a way to steal a game or two that they should lose, so I'm predicting an 8-4 year.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a 9-3 or 10-2 type year out of them. They're line play is going to be pretty good, and that's where games are won or lost.

They've listened to everyone say how mediocre they're going to be all off-season, and will be motivated to prove everyone wrong.

You missed a game.

October 17 at Vanderbilt - UGA will still win, if its a good or bad season.

I think they will likely go 8-4, possibly going 9-3 if GT or LSU has a bad game.

I really don't see them losing another game other than @ Tennessee and maybe Kentucky. South Carolina is an awful team and so is Arkansas. Auburn brought in a coach that won 2 games in the past two years.

Who did SC lose? That game was down to the wire last year.

You have to give them credit for scheduling Ok St, Ar St and GT out of conference. That is aggressive scheduling not seen very often in the SEC.

However, with the departure of Stafford and Moreno they may have picked the wrong year to do it. They have a lot of talent in Athens but also a lot of questions - and that schedule doesn't give them a lot of room for mistakes or growing pains. They will wish they had a couple of games against the directional sisters of the sorrowful mothers early in the year instead of having real games.

I can see 8-4 actually being a good year for them this year. If they do a lot better you have to tip your hat to em. They will have earned it.

Put me in the camp that thinks Arkansas will be a loss. They (Ark) will be much better than people think.

I think we're going to see Cox be a pretty good quarterback. Their line is good and the question mark for me is in the backfield. Who's going to run the ball? I can see a bad year being 7-5, and a good one being 10-2.

Could be the favorite in all but two games, OK State and Florida, but will be the underdog in no more than 4 games, when you add LSU and GT.

If Caleb King gets his head on straight, he could be a dominate factor. I've watched this kid play football since he was 8 years old. His athletic ability is awesome !

I think they will be okay... depends on Cox. If he manages the games, then they'll win 8 9 or 10 games.

OK State(they have a top 5 offense in the country)
SC(they lost alot and they weren't that good last year)
Ark(they will be alot better than ppl think)
AZ St.(they're terrible)
LSU(i honestly don't know what they have coming back)
TN(they always give UGA a tough game)
Vandy(depends on which Vandy team shows up)
FL(their the best team in the country)
TN Tech(LMAO:laugher:)
AU(i dont understand hiring Chizik from ISU)
UK(IDK anything about them since Woodson left)
GT(TO HELL WITH GEORGIA:biggthumpup:)

but I will worry about UGA the last week of November because we have ALOT of tough games ourselves that we need to worry about before we go worrying about the UGA(y) mutts.

Indeed but the fact the he is so athletic might put too much pressure on him to be the main back before he is ready. Also as Miami has taught us, athleticism alone a feature player does not make.

They'll do fine as in 9-3 if Cox stays healthy, just as we will do fine as in 10-2 if Josh stays healthy. Both QBs have very good supporting casts.

Everybody seems to focus on Cox, which is understandable, but imo you have to figure out whether their subpar D will improve. They weren't so good against a lot of people other than us. LB & DB issues.

I honestly haven't seen Cox play many games so I really can't tell. If he's good, they may go 9-3 or 10-2. Otherwise, I wouldn't be surprised with 7-5 or 8-4. Caleb King is also a good athlete, but it doesn't seem like he has it in him to play up to expectations. The defense of the team probably isn't going to be that great with Martinez ever. It's going to be a tough year in Athens.

Thing with us is, we know how good our offense is based on last year, and everyone on the team is saying the offense is light years better than it was last year. I can't wait until September 5th!

How come nobody is asking UGa if the GT game provided a blueprint for how to run on Georgia and what they (Uga) are going to do about it?

I really don't see UGA with more than 5 losses even with a bad season. The thing is, if Cox has a bad season one of the talented freshman will step up. I think they will get nine wins (losses to Florida, GT, LSU, and OKST). They win their crappy bowl game.

The sad thing is that an 8-5 Georgia could still finish the season ranked...

I predict they will go 0-1 in games I give a crap about.

I expect the worst season in 5 years for UGA.

I expect more of the same from us with more than 9 wins.
