Uniform updates?

I think that's the uni I was talking about above. Did we ever wear blue jersey's then? or just the gold?
 
did a little research and found the following over at GoldTimer's website

click on "GT Football Illustrated" on the left frame and then scroll down to 1969 the magic year... Don't actually see any black or blue in the 60's
 
ramblin wise, when Carson put us in the Gold shirts never wore them with Gold pants. Do not know about Robert Lee, although the times his guys wore Gold shirts it was more of a mustard yellow.

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">I'm pretty sure we wore the gold on gold against UGAg one year, when we took a pretty bad licking. Was in '68?
 
I hope I never see Tech In gold on gold in my lifetime.

Fl.State and Clempsom can do it. I expect it from them.
 
well the point wasn't the gold on gold, it was the gold cotton jersey's...

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">I like the darker numbers and plainer uniforms, but that is just my taste. I think it just looks tougher. Looking at the photos makes me miss the south stands. Am I alone with that sentiment? I know that I grew up with them and that has a lot to do with it, but I also remember how horrified I was when I saw the Wardlaw building. Never liked kicking footballs into a building. It's a shame it's there.
Hopefully, someday we'll have to tear it down to expand to 85,000

I would like the navy blue '97 traditional block numbers best, but only if they were black.
 
Honestly beelieve, in modern times anywho, that we have never worn gold over gold. I still like the idean of gold, blue shirts with gold numbers, white pants. Do not like visiting teams wearing home shirts at BDS
 
I know we've worn gold on gold a few times. I'm thinking against South Carolina in like '76 or '77? It was pretty lousy looking.
 
In my 33 years attendeing GT Football games, I've never seen Gold on gold. Saw White on white a couple of times, and don't like that. Prefer a contrast between jersey & pants.
 
NC you are right. Pepper had old gold with two black stripes over a white, over the shoulder pads - that was the EO Whealer/Pat Moriarity team. We played awesome the first half vs. USC and lost it in the second. Those jersies truely were the old gold.

Whie we are at it, I always liked the block "T" like on Ms. Monroe's sweater in 52. I know we never wore it on the helmit, but why not?

White helmet, old gold "T", old gold jersey with navy block numbers, white pants with navy/old gold stripes, and what color hose?
