Updated Rivals Depth Chart (Seniors Removed)

Crazy how much better the talent is after this season as compared to essentially the same kids who weren't good enough and had CPJ on some people's hot seat.

It is a great time to be a Tech fan, hopefully some people will actually enjoy it.
Who are you, Mary Poppins or something? A great season and bowl win were barely history before the yelping about recruiting started. We can dream, I suppose.

Love the depth at CB. Love the overall upper class depth on defense. Oline back ups need to get bigger if that is their true weight. Obviously B Back is gonna be our largest question mark considering the youth. Overall, our Defense could be a lot better next year.....might have to supplement the offense considering I dont know if we can duplicate this past year on that end.

nice to be in an equilibrium where so many guys have been able to redshirt

Makes me wonder if we are recruiting too many OL. OL is loaded but DL is deficient

We could have 3 starting OL losses and I would still expect our OL to be really good

We have a 6'5 240 lb BB. Who knew?

I hope we work on our kick returns some this offseason because those pretty much sucked all year. Need to block better and need Golden to be more decisive.

Does anyone know anything about this guy? Just read through a post at TOS and he apparently has very good measurables (obv. size, but also speed). Was the starting center fielder for uGA for 2 years at uGA before coming to GT this season. Didn't play organized football until 2014.

A guy that size with the agility/speed to play CF could be a beast, especially behind a 300+lbs average offensive line.

Never heard of him until I saw his name on this depth chart. Seems like we should try him out at WR. I know I know, sounds ridiculous. But I've had this theory for a couple years that baseball guys with good measurables would make great WRs, like maybe even NFL caliber. Just a crazy idea.

Okay but for real how we have a kid 6'5 and 240 who might even have good speed and no one knows anything about him?

Y'all do realize this guy is Will Bryan's brother, right? He played on ST a good bit this year, but I think he got dinged up in the VT game, but then was back later in the year.

I believe that the kid at BB (6'5" & 240) is the older brother of one of our incoming O line commits.

Sorry for not seeing the post above mine that says the same thing. Didn't realize he had played any this year.

Firstly, you can never have too many O-linemen.

Secondly, we've always struggled recruiting D-linemen. On top of that, a number of guys we've recruited haven't panned out for one reason or another, or have just left the team.

Anthony Williams was dismissed. (2010 Class)
Denzel McCoy had health problems. (2010)
Justin Akins transferred. (2013)
Kevin Robbins quit the team. (2013)
Darius Commissiong was dismissed. (2013)
Jabari-Hunt Days was academically ineligible this season. ((2011) I know he's an LB, but there were talks of him moving to DE.)

Had no idea, like I said never heard of him until I saw that depth chart. Sweet! We need all the guys with good measurables we can get. I hope he makes a splash next year.

Yeah we've been extremely unfortunate in the D line area. McCoy was a 4 star. Just a lot of guys who didn't pan out for one reason or another.

Hopefully we can land some guys here. I feel like we have a good secondary and good LBers. The only thing holding our defense back this year was an effective pass rush.

Jabari will provide some much needed depth at DT if he gets his grades right.

This, to me, looks like a top-15 preseason ranking.
