USCe De-commits Jonathan Davis

JD has committed to an SEC school. It hasn't been announced yet so I don't want to ruin it, but he made a visit over the weekend and committed yesterday.

The kid has been through a lot in this recruiting process, and it is a very impressive signing, so congrats to him.

Let me guess: Miss. State or Arkansas, right?

Well maybe this will help Tech in this upcoming recruiting class. If there are lots of Tech potential out there, hopefully they'll pull the trigger early to avoid any potential mess like this (not that we have these kinds of issues normally).

So, what's the word? If he had committed, it would've been made public somewhere!

So, what's the deal?

Not totally sure. I am going to believe the guy I talked to, because he is very, very close to the situation. At the same time, I am not 100% sure because the school he said has not been mentioned anywhere, whatsoever.

What I think might be happening is that the family is just sick and tired of this whole process, got an offer from this school, and is keeping it perfectly quiet just to avoid another mess.

I did also hear that he is not going to sign until the 4th, which I believe.

JD committed to UCF tonight. George O'Leary made an in-home visit, and convinced him to go south.

The SEC school that expressed interest late was Tennessee.

lame, lane. :D

the reason he was going to sign on the 4th is because it's SIGNING DAY. no big deal or anything.
