I saw a Leavitt get run over by an Edsel today and it weren't a pretty sight.
The insurance salesmen were able to hold off the Bull rush today totally against my expectations, soooo, I guess it's congrats to the insurance man, even though I was pulling for the Bull rush.

When are people going to remember that its the Big East? These powerhouses Rutgers, USF and UConn?

thats what i am wondering. That conf is a JOKE yet it is consdered strong b/c of all these unknowns?

when that happens in the ACC its considered weak. Why isn't Wake ranked?

why isn't clemson ranked?

I take both those teams over the uconn. Crap...UVA beat uconn.

Big east is a JOKE outside WVU...and that is debatable.

It seems West Virginia is about to rightfully return to the top of the heap where they belong. They should be able to handle UConn Thanksgiving weekend.

UVA beat Uconn by one at home. Prior to yesterday they had identical records and UVA was ranked 7 spots higher. I'm not following your ire. Uconn, Rutgers, and USF would do just fine in the ACC just as UVA, Wake, GT, and others do. WVU, OTOH, would destroy most ACC teams just like they continulally beat ACC and SEC teams OOC.

Rutgers, USF and UConn would not win 6 or 7 games in the ACC and be ranked. No way, no how.

The Big East is still the Big East. The media is still attacking the ACC and building up their northeast brethren, The Big East. Their power teams, UL, WV, and RU went down so the media replaced them with powerhouse UConn and powerhouse Cinn. Come on.

No one is calling UConn or Cinncinatti "powerhouses". All you hear is the "surprising Huskies" or the "unexpected Big East leaders"...which is true. The ACC went through the same thing with Wake Forest last year. The difference is that the Big East backed up any praise they got by having WVU and Louisville beat the ACC's #1 and #2 team in bowl games.

And West Virginia is 7-1 and was ranked #7 in the nation going into this week...so they're still pretty good.

Yep, IMO Randy Edsall should be on DR's speed dial list.

how can u not follow my ire. UConn beat the quote unquote #11 team handidly. Before that they played NO ONE and the one decent team they played in UVA they lost to. Follow my ire...the conf is weak as hell as proven that uconn is leading it as of today. UConn, cinci would be 6 or 7 win teams in the ACC at best. S Fl would probably be a 8 win team. WVU could hold their own. Rutgers...7ish wins as well...not any better.

Then the bottom half of that conf ALL have the quality of Duke...no better.

The Big East just strikes me as bizarre. Never have I seen so many programs transform from footnotes to top 25 teams. As far as I can tell, WVU is the only program in that conference that's historically been more than a mid-major.

If the Big East really does have all these top 25 teams, it only signifies all the turnover happening for bigger BCS programs. As new coaches become more successful at various ACC, Big 12 and Big 10 programs, the Big East should start fading to mid-major status past WVU, UL and RU.

If your ire is against the rating system, fine but I thought you were trying to make a case that Uconn couldn't compete in the ACC which I didn't get. Teams with no losses or 1 loss are going to be ranked at this point, hence UVA. Hawaii is not as good as Uconn IMO but they are ranked much higher.

I personally think Uconn is decent which is what you can say about most of the ACC/SEC/Big 10/Big East/etc.

......and here we go again. Shut up Tech fans, why do u guys blast Ga. fans for acting like idiots and u act just like them with these stupid comments. SEC fans are notorious for not giving any other conference any props, so many guys on here do the same thing, especially lately. UConn and Cincy arent nat'l champs, but they are improving teams having pretty good seasons. I'm convinced(& i hate to be like this but..no choice) that 3/4 of u morons dont even watch college football unless Tech is playing. Open your eyes.

West Va beat us and L'ville beat Wake....but i guess it's just a bad conference because UVA beat UConn by a point, who beat us? Good God guys.

I know what you're saying. However, I think the Big East recent success is also due to usually major teams being down. Cincy, UConn, USF, even BC don't traditionally have programs that would suggest their current ranking.
