I think that neither band can participate at UVA.
The band can participate, only wind instruments are bant. So, drums and xylophones I guess.

Brennan Armstrong is the only other QB remotely as good as Kenny Pickett in the ACC. The secondary looks like swiss cheese against a QB with good vision. Not a good matchup. GT needs 3 of the next 4 to play in a bowl. I think this is the least likely to be a win of those four. The UVA defense appears to be no great shakes, but the GT offense is just as likely to help them along with some free turnovers.
I agree with this. I don’t think UVA is any good. I think they are mediocre like we are. The unfortunate thing is the one thing they do good lines up with the one thing we do worst.

UVA has always had a big OL and DL, all the way back into the George Welsh days. We have to play mistake proof ball.their QB is pretty accurate so our DB's have got to step it up. We can't sit in a zone when our DL gets no pressure. We get picked apart that way.

I hope Sims has that kind of OL Saturday. I'd like to see protection and for Gibbs to have a big day toting the rock. If we can make them worry about McGowan, we .may get the big day.

This is one of the biggest things about us that people miss. It was also a bit of what happened with Duke, the next worst thing our defense does after that is stop a legit power running game.

If we can flip the script on this at all against UVA we have a real good shot.

So UVA is unranked and they only have a GOOD team, then Georgia Tech should be able to win.... Unless Georgia Tech does not have a good tream... Are you saying Georgia Tech does not have a Good Team??? We have a ton of talent... 4 stars talent everywhere... I think we have a great team, maybe not a good coaching staff.... If we can Coach the Boys up and make Gameday Coaching adjustments we should be able to win! Go Jackets!
Do you ever make a post that doesn’t whine? People must be ready to shove firecrackers in their ear holes after spending 10 minutes with you. Please never ever come to a GT game that I’m watching.

CPJ was 2-3 in C'ville.
All others are 0-9 since 1990.

Last 5 road losses have been by 5, 4, 6, 3, and 5.
I’ve been to every game up there since like 1998. I’ve logged a lot of miles to watch us lose in nearly every way imaginable, from a walk-off hook-and-ladder TD to a linebacker at QB for them to a 20th string RB starting for them.

Your ACCN crew for the game:
PBP — Dave O'Brien (who might be distracted during the game. He also does Red Sox games on TV for NESN. so he might be watching the Sox on his phone)
Analyst — One of the Hasselbecks. Not Elizabeth, tho.
Sideline — Kelsey Riggs. Working on getting a Dinich-level fivehead.

Collins said. “... It’s going to be a big-time environment.
The Vince Dooley school of playing up your opponent. The hostile crowds of Vanderbilt always got a shout out

That stood out to me as well, so I checked their attendance this year. Announced numbers are better than what I’ve seen in person over the years (something like 37 to 42K this year), but not really “big time.” I’m not sure he really listens to what he says.

Seems pretty big time to me:

HOME SWEET HOME

The Cavaliers have made Scott Stadium a tough place to play for all teams, not just the Yellow Jackets. They've lost just two of their last 17 games at home, including a 37-17 loss to No. 16 Wake Forestthat snapped an eight-game winning streak in night games on their home turf.

Sims has got to stop throwing picks. If he can refrain from that, we have a better shot.

That doesn’t have much of anything to do with the environment, which has been more like Duke than Clemson or VPI the last several trips up there.

Depends what you define as a big time environment. I see it as any place that’s harder to win in than the others, but I can understand if you’re more keyed in on the crowd. Also, Duke’s attendance couldn’t have been more than 10k. Let’s not relegate UVA to that level.
