UVa @ da U 7:30 tonight

I would love to see this GT vs Wake in the ACC CG, it'll be payback for a loss that sent our FB Program down a divergent path to state it kindly, we owe them a beatdown of epic proportions.

I think if we saw this year's Wake Team in the Conf CG we'd smoke them.

The first step towards that comes on Saturday, we have to have mental focus.

We won the ACC 3 years later...

They were in melt since the 1Q. Think there were gonna be “Fire Manny” threads whether that kick had gone in or not. They still think it’s 2001 over there.

I’ve been saying since King got there that he was covering up a lot of deficiencies on their OL that’s been trash for awhile now. If Key starts trotting out competent OLs the next few years the Coastal is ripe for the taking.
The Coastal has been ripe for the taking since it was created. Beamer is the only coach who has really able to take advantage winning 5 of the first 7. But they were far from dominant and backed into some of those. That was my biggest frustration with Johnson was that he wasn’t able to grab it by the throat because he never figured out how to play defense. I’m just praying that the football gods shine on Collins and that somehow we can emerge from the pack in the Coastal. That’s the first step.

We did the same screwup after 1990 when we had the opportunity to wrestle this state away from UGAg as they became mediocre, essentially Mississippi. Instead, we became worse than mediocre

@PressManCoverage, don't know why the thumbs down on this post; maybe you missed the sarcasm. I think GT can beat both these teams. I didn't see anything last night that impressed me.
I did miss the sarcasm.

Cause the first thing going thru my mind is this is the year we get some vengeance on both of these crappy programs, yeah I'm guilty I missed the sarcasm

Totally agree. I was there against Penn State. That was a pivotal point in time for GT. And we blew it. I remember sitting there after the game not wanting to leave because I knew our momentum was gone. We have a chance over the next 2 and a half seasons to turn it back. Meanwhile we need a few more Tua moments.

We paid a steep price for that very temporary success.

Kansas St.(sic)

MTSU, 49 points at home, if you take into account that they were G5 and we were in a clock burning offensive system, giving up 49 to them is substantially equal to the 73 we gave up vs Clemson, no one wants to admit this though.

BYU , back to back beatdowns where we looked as if we didn't belong on the field with them.

11 years worth of losing all respect among HS HCs in Ga, if you look at it from a Kid's perspective, from the time they were 2nd Graders until their Senior Year, GT was never taken seriously as real P5 Program.

Those 11 years, can easily turn into 2 decades of fighting to restore respectability, all CFB experts outside of GT could see this, but none of our insiders could see it.

Yeah, I knew it. You are wrexneffect

Have no idea who that is, why does it bother you so much that people like me are 100% behind CGC and the ways that he is trying to change the narrative surrounding GT FB?

It seems that anytime someone is supportive of our current HC, accusations of being an "alt" are thrown around to undermine the support and any comments made.

We have a great coach IMO, he just doesn't have a great record yet, we have a guy that loves being GT's HC and he wants GT FB to succeed above all else.

I'm sorry that you're in love with a system so that you can feel close to your Ga Southern pals and whoever else thinks the forward pass should be outlawed, personally I'm glad we have a HC to bring us into the Modern Era of CFB.

I'm on the CGC train too. Believe it or not, you can be hyped for the future without baselessly trashing the past. You are somehow optimistic and upbeat, while simultaneously obnoxious and divisive. I can only imagine what you would be like if you weren't getting your way. Actually, we all know what you were like when you weren't getting your way. You have been hammer posting since you joined on 9/18/2021. Are we to believe that you are a brand new Tech fan?

Also, championships never set a program back, ACC, orange bowl, state, or otherwise... Our recruiting trailed off toward the end of CPJ's years, which is really no secret, and that is the reason for the long contract and leniency with the rebuilding effort.

I don't have any Georgia Southern pals, and I don't follow that team.

I don't mean to be "obnoxious & divisive" about the past.

I would like to see 1 more Natl Title from GT FB in whatever time I have left, based on statistics most of us have more behind us than we do in front of us.

So when a FB Coach making 7 figures, even if it is at the lower end of the P5 scale, that HC should do his #1 Job, which is recruit.

All he had to do was stay in the car on the Road inside the 13 County Metro Atlanta Area.

It is highly disappointing to see Local Kids that could've played for GT, playing for other schools and going to the NFL if our HC had focused on his #1 Job.

Next, if you look at the Top125 HS FB Players from GA, most reasonable CFB minds would look at that talent and say to themselves, "there's no reason to run the Option" - I can run anything I want with all this talent, this means that the Coach was too stubborn to adapt to changes in CFB.

Saban, did, now even Bama runs HUNH , and other variations of the spread offense.

And finally, I'm not getting my way, I'm simply rooting for the Guy in charge, stop overthinking things, this is supposed to be entertainment, this is what makes America great, how we celebrate our pastimes, enjoy the season, the ups as well as the downs.
