Well, it didn't happen in a classroom. It did occur on campus after students returned from a school field trip.

The shooting happened late Sunday night near a campus parking garage on a bus "full of students" returning from a field trip, Ryan said. Police responded to a call of shots fired at approximately 10:30 p.m., Ryan said.

There is a lot of information online about this shooter. FWIW, he was only on the UVA football team one year, in 2018, and never played a game,
