It doesn't really matter, since a tragedy is a tragedy, no matter what. But does anyone recognize the names of the players who were killed? Did they play in the game with Tech 3 weeks ago?

Only matters in the sense that this whole topic would not belong here IMO if UVA football players were not involved.

The shooting that left three University of Virginia students dead late Sunday happened on a charter bus that had returned from Washington, D.C., for a field trip, officials said.

That screams targeted to me.

The shooter had previously been reported to the student threat assessment by someone who he told he had a gun, officials said.

Suspect is former football player. 2 of the victims are current players possibly, not confirmed? Sad.

Perry played but did not record a tackle. The WR Davis played - one catch for 31 yards. I don't know the name of the third player.

There are 2 more people shot that survived, one in good condition at hospital and the other in critical condition. Also members of the fb team.

poor media performance as usual..this happened at 10:30 last night
another article said the field trip was to a play in the DC area.
a different article said 25 students were on the bus.
linked article implies that the perp wasn't one of the bus students....
