Vad Lee - Big Man on Campus [ESPN]

We did a huge disservice to Vad. Didn't implement a system that took advantage of his obvious talents. Square peg in a round hole.

Glad we didn't implement such a system. Otherwise we would have probably not been bowl eligible last year. He signed up for an option offense. Coaches can't always predict if they can learn it. He didn't. He could have been a decent WR, if he had the willingness to block.

I wish Vad Lee all the luck in the world. But his heart wasn't in it so he left. He's better off, we're better off and I don't see a problem.

Ok, I finally watched it, and he basically says very little about GT. Not sure what this thread is even about, honestly.

He was bad for this system. Which is why it was curious why we would recruit a QB with his talents without changing the system to take advantage of them.

What's curious is why we didn't move him to receiver and give him the option to accept it or walk. He wasn't an option quarterback, and by the estimation of many outside our program, he wasn't an FBS quarterback at all.

Some people take these things personally. And by "these things", I mean the behavioral patterns of newly-christened adults who happen to go to our Institute.

It should be noted that every single year, about 2000-3000 kids go to Georgia Tech and decide that it isn't the place for them. Let's start threads about all of them.

Good for him, but if he wanted to prove his mettle, he would have transferred to a FBS school and tried to win the job. UGA had an opening. FSU had an opening. South Carolina.

What are any threats on ST about?

Most of the time, people on ST threaten to not renew season tickets, or attend anymore games until a change is made at a coaching position. Occasionally, a ST'er threatens another poster with violence at a future tailgate. On rare occasions, and I do mean rare, people threaten to dress up like Rick James or drink a bucket of piss if certain things happen during or after the season.

Stephon Tuitt just recorded a sack.

It's true though. Justin doesn't say it but he shows it by not trusting them. And hence we can't run the option.

JT has been trying to do too much because every other skill player on our O (except Snoddy) are green. He isn't doing it because they aren't talented.

They will all come around as the team gets their timing down.

I am happy for VAD... I think he is a really good FCS QB and glad he gets to do what he wants, throw the ball....(Are system is based on being unselfish "team guys")... I see him with a real chance in the CFL!!!

I am so glad we have JT and one an Orange Bowl.....

I do find it a bit funny that no FBS teams came calling for him this year like all the Vad supporters claimed would happen!

lol

Pretty dickish post. The "Are" makes it perfect.

I don't understand why anyone would have hard feelings for Vad. There's no reason you have to be rooting for him or anything, but his departure from here was a textbook "bad fit" situation. Neither side really did anything wrong, it just didn't work out like either side wanted it to.
